to be honest, I have always struggled with that word so it was a good shot for that time of night whether it is correct or not I shall leave up to google

Edit:

Online Dictionary spells it "honorary". However this is using the American English (AE) spelling of the word Honor

The same dictionary shows a British English spelling with a "u" extra: honour

The Dilemma arises when going from honour to honorary.

It was debated here

and agreed that both "honorary" and "honourary" are acceptable spellings of the word.
