Based loosely on an idea first mentioned a year ago for doubles tournaments, but not quite the same , the thought occurred to me a few days ago but i still needed to iron out flaws.

My idea is this: As the name suggests, team killer. You have the option to play in two teams of 2,3,4,5 (ie 4/6/8/10 man killer). When you join the game, you are given the option of joining team 1 or team 2, with a caption underneath telling you how many players were needed for each team, eg "Team 1: 3/4 players"
When both teams are full the game starts and the order of players is random, so you could be before a team mate or an opponent. This order could stay the same through the game or change each frame, dont know which would be better. Then the winning team is the one to kill all the other teams players. Normal killer rules apply, fouls are the same, player who pots black gets a life back, all start on 3.
Why do i think this would be good? It would add an extra dimension to the game of working with other people, eg setting team-mates up for safeties or opening the black up for a team member who is on 1 life etc.
This idea could easily be used by clans for competitions eg UT team all join team 1 and FSE team all join team 2.

How would ranking work? Say team 1 win, take average of team 2 players and all team 1 gain points for beating a player of that rank. take average of team 1 players and all team 2 players lose points for losing to a player of that rank.

The point system could be averaged out i guess in a fair way!

Only negative is, says its 3 v 3 and say you have Destiny, Magical_cue & Ste_efc on one team, pretty hard to beat? Lol

The point system is the main part I can see there being a problem with. Not sure on how the mathematics of your idea works with the ranking system but I think there might be an issue with it being possible to reach infinity (i.e, the magic 1000 points)
If the 'edge modification' was applied to each persons addition of the average points received that might solve that issue.

I didnt put across my ranking thing very well lol. Basically as far as each team is concerned, the other acts as a single entity when it comes to points, so say you had:

team 1: 680 (newbie), 720, 810
team 2: 640, 674 (newbie), 900 - winners

each member of team 2 would get the points they would normally get for beating a (680(N) + points for beating a 720 + points for beating an 810) / 3, so the edge modification would still apply for the 900 and the newbie modification would still have its effect. The same would apply for working out deductions for losing team.

Unless someone can think of a better way.

And derry, what if you had you, damee and peggi against them

Basically like doubles on the other games it would be. Should come in at round about the same time as doubles on the other game types then i believe.

Yeh like Cue_power said, it would be unfair to have 3 of the best players on the game IMO on one team, and as he also pointed out, i dont see them going for it, as it would be confusing for some players.

Tbf, i think there are quite enough games in FS atm, maybe removing one of them, implementing another game, if it doesnt work out, then reserve it, on the upper side, it might have more hits than the previous game.

sure it can be random surly not like there would be anything wrong with that and i like the idea hope the get it in

Surely if it is team killer then it eould be better for it to go in alternate shots

eg.

team 1 player 1 - 1st shot
team 2 player 3 - 2nd shot
team 1 player 4 - 3rd shot
team 2 player 2 - 4th shot

Would that not be better ??

It would work as long as it was friendlies great idea tbh

nick can only do tournaments where its 1 v 1 at the moment.
