Seems fairly clear that this was in fact an internet issue. During the season I would recommend replaying the frame.
However, since the result of these pre-season friendlies is irrelevant, I will leave it up to you to sort out...
well, doesn't matter i guess. 4-2 to me against timpark. i got a 57 break.

a) If a player leaves during a frame (unless due to internet problems) then the frame will be handed to the opponent (opponent's discretion).

That rule is really open to abuse. Say I just disconnect my internet and it logs me off. Under those rules it will be replayed, no?

Yeah we talked about this when the rule got put in about 2 seasons ago.
Couple of things:
The rule is there so that people don't lose a frame when they are ahead 125-0 and get disconnected. It only really applies when it's an obvious case of disconnection.
Players would only really disconnect on purpose to gain an advantage. If the opponent is winning or it's roughly even, we leave it up to the opponent to decide whether to claim the frame or not.
The opponent does NOT have that option when the disconnected player is way ahead or has already effectively won the frame.

What about the case above when a player on a 40 break (guessing winning at this point) disconnects and loses the frame?

If the score mattered in these games, I would've had them replay it, since it was clear that he didn't disconnect on purpose, since he was winning the frame.
(off for food, can explain more tonight if there is need).

Missed that post but sounds about right. Here's a scenario for you.
Score is 45 - 69 with 25 points remaining. Blue and pink tied up but the player on the table (with 45) disconnects accidentally on purpose
What's the result for this frame during a league match?

I would go about that one by first seeing what the players themselves say.
Without spectators, we wouldn't actually know about the position of the balls on the table anyway as it's the word of one player vs the other. We also wouldn't know about who's turn to shoot it was.
If the players themselves couldn't resolve it, I would leave it up to the opponent (who didn't get disconnected) to either claim or replay. Clan league runners should only force a replay in a situation where it was obvious that the disconnect was not on purpose.
Ultimately, all rule possibilities can result in a case where a player loses a frame he shouldn't have or replays a frame he should've won. So far, the current rule has worked all right (this is actually the first time it has come up).

One more addition: If a player is way ahead and gets disconnected (example 85-0), the frame will be awarded to the player that got disconnected.
