I just lost 51-57 when they fouled on the black lol... how is this a official rule ? i could have got him to foul which i have done on many occasions this isnt a moan its just a querie?

I'm pretty sure the game ends automatically when there is a foul on the black, or when snookers are required and only black is on the table.

It's an official snooker rule, that's why the game can end when a player pots the pink, when they put their cue on the table.

Assuming 51-57 was the final score, that would mean that before your opponent fouled on the black it was 44-57 to him/her, which would leave you needing a snooker on the final black. So the game was (technically) already over before they played the shot as any foul on the final black ends the game (unless it would leave the scores tied).

Wouldnt need more than 1 snooker, only needs 1

Plus the only reason people would actually foul when its just the black up, is because they are really really stupid.
Or in 'my circles' case, we are trying trickshots. lol!

yeah but tbh that real life snooker its alot harder to pot a black very thin than it is on a website iv seen people pot stuff on here from absolutly impossible angles, but still my origional point was that i have needed snookers on the black and have gotten them quite easy (Via making them foul or just being awesome) :P but still i think this should be dropped

whether you think it's a stupid rule does not matter at all.
fact is, it's a rule of snooker, so it should stay
if i think the handball rule in soccer is a stupid rule, does that mean we should get rid of it?

i use to hate this rule but now i dont mind it, once i used it to my advantage 1 minute left was about 8 in front so to pee my opponent off i potted white

well tbh if they cant win and black is only thing whats left, you can do what you want
