For all the GAA chat that has just kicked off, I predict one of tightest championshis in both codes this year...

wicklow had a great win over carlow at the weekend. before the game i thought either could win the game.but wicklow stepped up there game . wasnt the greatest game in the world tho . wicklow will need to sort out there passing if they are going beat westmeath in the next round

UP WICKLOW

Ya was a good win for Wicklow sarah, first games the teams are always slightly rusty and need the game to reach full fitness so any win is a good win to be fair...

Watched the Kerry vs Tipp game and tho Kerry struggled for parts of the first half but i think that was down to the class of opposition in fairness.. Result was never in doubt so a win in the 1st round is good no matter who the opponents

there shruggling with this new hand pass rule david . in all 3 games during weekend must been 4 or 5 faulty hand passes . will take some time to get it right

Thats what always annoys me about playing football. its very stop start like, and the refs are way to strict..

Im sure if they looked over the videos prob half of them cards would be deemed very harsh...

id rather stop start than 6 players in hurling all just flaking at each other in a big group along the sideline and nothing happening....... if i wanted to watch a messy scrum id watch rugby

That might happen once or twice a game compared to football stopping and starting every 20seconds..

Hurling is to fast to be stop start like football and it doesnt even compare in the skill department

once or twice? hahaha more like 6 or 8 times

skill in different areas.... claiming there is more skill is still just a lame excuse for cork not having won an all-ireland in how long???

When did i try make an excuse for cork not winning an All Ireland??

Well considering we have players capable of playing both codes and we have done the double in the past the footballers suffer as a result, they tend to play the hurling instead of the football i.e Sean Og, Brian Corcoran, John Gardiner, Eoghan Cadogan, Michael Cussen, just to name a few who were inter county Footballers who quit to focus on Hurling..

The same can be said how many All irelands have kerry in Hurling... 1 is it???

there are some hurling counties, some football counties and some who are both.

kilkenny purely concentrate on hurling and it shows
kerry, tyrone, mayo focus purely on football and that shows too

iv already had people ask me what the GAA is dan
