so if u thnk yr not doing well in 1 game type u can reset this.

Resetting your stats doesn't make you a better player though; this idea is purely hedonistic.
If you want to reset your stats, then having to sacrifice them all is only fair.
Also, it's been brought up quite a few times before...
Try any of these:

I think this would be a bad idea as it would give people more of an incentive to reset as it would only affect 1 discipline, thus creating even more fake newbies

Keep in mind that the original reason why the reset option was implemented was to prevent people from creating new user names just to have fresh stats (which would lead to abandoned user names, making forums messy, etc.).
Therefore I don't think this feature will evolve in the way described in this topic, as it is now a complete solution to the new user creation problem, and was not intended as a real feature in itself.

you could have a thing where u can reset one stat every 3 months? maybe...

Also this means if you was a newbie at arcade with 200 loses and 1 win , and pro at reg with 200 wins and 0 loses , you could just reset one to make you have all good rankings and stats. Thats why when you reset , it resets them all to be fair. The ones you do bad in you will have to work on them to get better or just not play them!!

I do know what you mean mojo, id love to be able to reset my carom stats to find out exactly how i was playing now. Because i was so bad when i started and the success percentage is measured over your "career" for want of a better word, it carries on affecting you.
I have to agree though, you should lose everything if you reset because what resetting basically does is give an artificial representation of you as a player.
One idea that might work in killer and carom could be having two percentages, eg overall and in last 1000 shots. This could work for turn success and safety success in killer as well as success percentage in carom.
eg:
adam_147 in carom:
Turn Success 2,872 of 7,537 (38.1%)
403 in last 1000 shots (40.3%)
(obviously that last 1000 shots would be continually changing but it would be a good way to monitor improvement). Doing that would ignore the time when you were learning the game, saving you having to reset...

OhOhOhOhOH!!!
Adam i love this!!
Would be like...
Carom Professional
Ranking 846.9 (2nd)
Maximum 875.1
Wins 1,462 (76.2%)
Losses 456 (23.8%)
Abandoned 7 (0.4%)
Turn Success 9,204 of 19,379 (47.5%)
Turn Success last 1000, 511 (51.1%)
Greatest Run 12
Runs of 5+ 200
Runs of 10+ 5
Tournament Wins 39
On another note, I've wanted to reset for ages but cant do it to myself lol, i have worked too hard and stressed too much to just delete all my records but...
If there was some sort of 'piggy bank' where if you reset everything goes to zero BUT all the stats you have made save on your profile just so other users can see what you have achieved sort of thing...its a nice touch and I personally could live with that
This carom idea tho, get on it! lol

What the guys have said above.
Reseting a certain type of stats is giving a totally false impression of your ability over time. Its an easy way out. Go and improve your stats like what most of the people have had to do.

I really dont know why people are so bothered about there stats. You are either absolutley brilliant on all tables or u are good on one and poor on the rest. If it is such a problem you should only play arcade rather than killer and carom. If you just come on here for stats you dont enjoy the game, and instead of coming on the game for pleasure and something to do, you end up gettin worked and angry.
