Why dont game make respot a lag shot to see who goes 1st, unfair adv to who gets it. And its random, so even if u are the 1 lvling game and at table, dont mean u will carry on next shot

Having a lag would be more unfair as people can always find a way 2 land it perfect on the cush, the way it is now is the best may, simple.

Its a well talked about subject but personally the way it is now is ideal.

Other possibilities are putting the black tight on the cushion so its not potable or at least not a guaranteed pot.

we all can practice lag shots, so No wont be advantage to any1. And way is now might be simple, but no fairness in it. most players can pot from respot. At least earn the right to go 1st. And out of interest, how often do queries actually make a difference. And something in the game changes. I'm just looking for some rulings to be made that are fair to every1.

The randomness of the repost black is what makes it good and fair, that will never change.

Only thing that might change is the position of the balls when a reposted black occurs i.e what i said in the above post (black being tight on bottom cushion).

I can't see why you think the random choice of who goes first is unfair.

It's exactly the same as tossing a coin, 50/50 chance, equal not unfair!
