Just a thought, when you are leaning across the table a rest could appear, when you are leaning across the table and over a ball, a spider could appear, just cosmetic really, just would look cool I think. More realistic etc...

A lot of work for not a lot of gain, sounds like a good idea to me

cosmetically i think it wouldnt look great because when you are moving the cursor around depending on the direction you are facing it would flick on and off the screen etc

The cue only shows up when you pull back doesn't it? Can't remember now.

Wouldn't this make the table more crowded than is neccessary?

There could be times when you need to focus on a tiny part of the table for position and I really don't fancy having a rest blocking my view.

But that revertes to the point he made a little further up the thread


I think it's a great Idea, cosmetic but would add to realism.

I really don't think this is needed.. Yes It might add a slight bit of realism to the game but this is "Funky" Snooker..

Also the spider would be in 2D, so I really don't think it would look that great anyway... It would effectively just be a line under the cue..

mate funky actually means that it can be run on old machines, not that rules can be different or anything.

Well with a rest that would mean you would have to have a different angle look on the clue ball, for spin etc
