Hiya

I was wondering if theres any way anything can be implemented on a post that contains an error to show us just where/what the error may be.
Ive often typed a huge message to someone or gone to post only for it to read:

Post may only contain numbers, letters, spaces or common symbols

Although its mostly common sense, that obscene words etc wont post, theres some words/symbols that seem harmless that wont post too and sometimes i read and re-read all my msg and cant 'see' where the error is so i have to go through a few things i think it may be.

(Ive just tired to add what would look like a smily on MSN in a post and it wouldnt let me...ill show you but seperate them)

Maybe have the word/symbol that cant be used in bold or something? Just a thought as i dunno if anyone else has come across this before.

I've just had this in write a poem

But I can't find anything unusual about the post ?
It's just normal text no strange symbols or anything

did you copy the poem from another webpage?

No, but I did type it in word and used cut and paste - but I have done that before and it has worked

I had alot of errors when copying and pasting song lyrics directly from other websites.

I now paste them into notepad first and had no errors since. Bit annoying but at least I don't need to trawl through paragraphs of text to find one comma!

Tried pasting into notepad 1st - didn't change anything

Found out what it is.

If you post something from another website (copy/paste) more often than not there punctuation they use is in a different format, therefore you need to retrace and delete the punctuation and insert it again (Bit strange).

The poem that Grae wanted to post, i looked at it and editted like i just say and it worked. However, he did say that he did the same, so i'm unsure, maybe one was missed?

Bit of an inconvenience though
