Seen this on loads of forums, and I like it.

You can give good or bad 'Karma' or feedback on peoples post.

So, if you like what they are syaing you get a + karma, if you dislike what they are saying you get - karma.

You have to give a reason for why your giving positive of negative so you can't just give it out becuase you like the person/dislike the person.

Now, one big negative is that you would get the immature on the site doing exactly that. Works well on other forums though, and in the long run, gives people incentives to make better quality posts, to build up their karma, and by definition, reduces the amount of poor quality posts.

Thoughts?

maybe if you get - karma its limits you amount of posts an hour?

Good idea but like you said there can be some disadvantages and in my opinion some people will abuse this function and give people negative karma for no reason.

Lmao, I wouldn't give out bad karma for disagreeing with somebody, thats pethetic. I'd give it out for poor standard of posting etc etc.

Maybe admin could do it?

Could be fair then... no "bad karma" off someone for no reason. Just a thought though.

Should be for everyone, but admin/mods have to regulate and watch it like they do everything else like.

Thinking about it though, I can just see it being abused by people on here - sadly.

Hence why i said admin (or mods) could do it.

Or..

We all have a vote for a "karma council" and if anyone abuses their role... they then get kicked off the "FSKC" (funkysnooker karma council) Lol. And a newer council member gets appointed.

I reckon thats a pretty good idea..

but would havti be careful about whos voted on.. alot of people would vote for friends, not on actuall credibility
