There is too much time given to players to complete tournament games. I have just had to wait 40 minutes to play a game because I was given a bye, and every round there are 2 people that dont have a clue how to play the game and finish after the time limit 0-0.
The fact that 90% of the people that enter 'CAROM' tournaments can all finish a game with an average time of less than half the time limit provided is silly. Why should the majority have to suffer because a few individuals enter a game they know nothing about.
The time gap needs to be decreased or seedings need to be put in place to prevent 2, beyond rubbish players get paired, Casuing a slow punishment.
Its not on, I want it changed.

He has the right to complain as it is unfair 2 have 2 wait nearly an hour just 2 play a game.
The amount of times i have played some 1 in carom and the first thing they ask is "how do i play this game" is ridiculous if you ask me, maybe there should be minimum rank/% in forced to prevent this kind of thing.

Back_spin mate, if your theory of stopping this is to but that rank/% thing in place, there would be 5-10 players entering, on a good day haha

I would of made it Mojo, whether I win or lose, its not accpetable in this day and age!
No other game type has to wait an obscene amount of time.
No other games take 24 minutes, just the newbie on newbie games which always happen in these tournies.

That's about as many enter anyway and the same players are going to win it so why should they suffer and have 2 wait a long time just to play some 1 who cant play?

Both ways are unfair and IMO it really does need 2 change.

Since the random tournament carom has taken off it seems, with more members playing than ever before.
We all to had to learn to play it at some point... you all did too, don't forget
Do you bemoan newbies in the arcade tournament? I am sure that there are new members who join these every day who can hardly pot.... or is it because you get easy wins that you don't complain about these.....?
Two newbies in original can easily take the time limit to complete their frame.
Lots of us have played other tournaments and received BYEs in 1,2, or maybe even 3 rounds.... but I can't recall threads about these to be honest.
Try to be indulgent with new players..... perhaps in a month or two you will play them in a future tournament, and lose 5-0

Everyone pretty much knows the rules of a snooker game before joining up to a Snooker site! Carom is different.

yeah i agree cue, i had to once wait 50 minutes due to 3 BYES in carom, was torture i tell you lol, when 2 newbies play carom i can almost guarantee that we have to wait at least 15-20 minutes, it can be boring at times but what can we do

I've lowered the limit from 1200 to 900 and see how that goes, if people start complaining now that there's not enough time then it will have to be changed again!
