surely then the deadline would be 10.05 yesterday
the whole point of a deadline is nothing can be accepted after it
i think that if it is after the deadline any points gained should be halved?

Alex, don't you think your obsession with this is slighlty over the top? I scored zero from it. I was 1 minute late.
You have to appriciate that this site isn't a priorty in life for us all, like it may be Sarah. Imagine, she sets her alarm for funkysnooker but oh no! She wakes up 5 minutes late and becuase I haven't been reminding her that she has to predict, shes forgotten!
Dun Dun Duuuhh!
So she desperately rushes to make the deadline but to her dismay, shes a minute late.
Verdict -
My opinion as co-runner of this site, is that it would be harsh to halve or dismiss the prediction.
Deadlines are important in life, but personally, I hate deadlines! Reminds me of school, college and work and I hate them all!
So in these cases (people posting passed deadline) it will be discussed between me and Mooney. As all things of this genre is. We provide a fair and equal league to all. There is no favour for any individual, you have to see that.
I do believe though, if I were to of been bottom as opposed to top of the league, then this wouldnt have been brought up.

17:17 Sun 21 Nov 10 (GMT) [Link] forgot to add this
my point is if you were to allow this addition and the whole prediction for that particular question (British teams left in Europe) was correct i would only get half the points for that question

Everyone had the same amount of time to post a prediction.
Don't kill this great idea by posting OTT reactions.
What you chatting on would only get half the points Alex?

Week 14 - Non-League Dreamers!
This weekend sees the Fa Cup 2nd round. With 11 Non-League teams remaining in the competition they will be dreaming of making it through to the 3rd round and hopefully a tie againstone of the big teams.
So for this week you will be predicting how these Non-League teams get on. You will be asked to post the teams you think we make it through to the 3rd round.
Hope that all makes sense!
Fixtures containing Non-League teams (Non-league team in bold)
Friday, 26 November
Crawley Town v Swindon
Saturday, 27 November
AFC Wimbledon v Stevenage
Brighton v FC United of Manchester
Carlisle v Tamworth
Charlton v Luton
Colchester v Swindon Supermarine
Darlington v York (Both Non-League)
Dover v Aldershot
Wycombe v Chelmsford
Monday 29 November
Droylsden v Leyton Orient
Points system:
Points will work based on how accurate you are on the sides that make it through. You will be given 3 points for every team you say that goes through. However if you post teams that don't go through you will lose 1 point per each team. Scores will not go below 0 though!
Hope it all makes sense, If you have any queries just post.

Deadline is initally 7pm Friday due to the Friday night Crawley v Swindon game. However I am willing to except any predictions after that time without Crawley in them provided they are posted before 2pm Saturday.
Sounds fair?
Ran out of space on original post lol.
May I remind participants this League finishes on Jan 1st and we are looking to set another one up for the 2nd half of the season.
Thanks, Good luck!

It's not called Non-League dreamers for nothing. So yeah
only Non-League teams.
Can I also point out that if matches end in draws then they go to replays. The result of the replay does count. As this prediction is essentially the Non-League teams that make it through to the next round.
