We don't need more Tournaments.

I think you'll also find that there are no tournaments missing. Just the time schedule is an hour later due to the clocks changing a while back for BST.

yeah so we change it we stuck the random torny in instead of the arc tory that was there

really cant you do like funkypool add more carom tornis in and every day a torni moves up a time

as for the 3 pm tournie i have suggested random, carom i don't think will be in as its the least popular game type and it is close to the 6 pm one.

I actually think there is far too many tournaments nowadays.

I reckon there should be one tournament for each type a day.

And it should be made prime time, the time where funkysnooker is the most busy on average.

The constant increase of tournaments has made them meaningless.

Its like currency, the more thats dished out the more the currency depreciates.

Better still....have one tournament a day in a schedule like..

Monday - Arcade 6pm
Tuesday - Reg 6pm
Wednesday - Orig 6pm
Etc etc...

I have to disagree a tad.

The problem with the tournaments being devalued is the fact that not enough of the best players enter them not the shear number of them. Although seeing 10 or 15 of the best players in a tourney would put a lot off entering.

People come on line at different times depending on their life commitments etc so you need opportunities throughout the day to have a go.I for one in the example Derry uses for 6 p.m tournaments could hardly ever participate.

Also it does give the players below pro/virt the chance to win tournaments which add to their fun and enjoyment on the site. Derry's won 200 odd but many only have 1 or 2 to their name but are justifiably proud of them.

Don't get me wrong I value a tournament win and especially when I have beaten the top players to win it or made some good breaks in the process.Or just had some cracking exchanges during them.

Some players like entering tourneys, others like to build ranking points and some just like playing friendlies or building impressive stats...or a mixture of any of those.

The tournaments that hold the the kudos seem be the ones that we create ourselves like the individual clan league or Sarahhs league (reg) for example..although these exclude non clan members...

So maybe Arpeggis top 10 ranked from each discipline to play all forms (except carom) to see who really is the best was the way to go...(except people didn't play the games...)

OK, hows this for a radical idea - friendly tournaments.

Just like a normal tourny, but you don't get any stats recorded. That way if you want the fun of more tourneys, you get it, but with no increase (perhaps even fewer) "prize" tourneys, to be fought seriously.

Alternatively, leave things as they are, maybe add a few, but introduce "special" tournaments, maybe as rarely as monthly or forthnightly, which earn something different to a standard win stat, like a medal or similar...
