ok first of all dez: chelsea never even had a substantial shot on target.

second of all we played counter attack with two wing backs not 5 out and out defenders it was 3 defenders and two wing backs.

west ham, wigan and blackpool attempt to beat you they dont because they leave themselves too open at the back.

dalglish's tactics were spot on we got stuck in and rattled the fairly weak chelsea midfield (they are weak and this has been shown over the last two months) this resulted in poor service to your out of sorts attack who might as well have stayed home because they caused our defense no problem at all.

our counter attack was very effective and kuyt IS a striker but benitez changed it to suit his formation, dalglish is doing the same here.

luck? yeah okay there was not even one single contentious moment in that game that you can honestly say was a stone wall penalty the two handballs were ball to hand and johnson was standing his ground.

chelsea need to take a look at themselves after today's performance.
liverpool had less shots and yet still had more shots on target which is what counts chelsea were never allowed an effort on goal inside our area and reina barely had a save to make all game. they need to improve and i believe that they will once they sort out where torres, drogba and anelka will be playing respectively to each other. your defense was arguing with each other and not at all near the title winning solidarity of last season.

and the midfield, as previously said, could not handle the physicality and work rate of liverpool and tbh should not even get their week's wages for the poor effort by them today.

overall, solid tactics from king kenny and a solid performance from the team by executing those tactics.
