I was thinking about this literally yesterday. Of course you're going to get a lot of people saying "This isn't Facebook" with the main culprit being Spinner! I used to say the same myself but what harm could it be to have this? Just liking someone's post after all.

True because it saves a lot of arguments and negitivity and if you dont want to comment then just like or dislike simple as that, mabee it is like facebook but it would halm to have this option would it?

Dislike button may cause conflicts and or arguements, (may well be petty, but true)
a like button is suggestfull, or maybe a thanks button (So you thank them for saying something)

That's true, although maybe the dislike button will lead to less people actually posting a negative reply. I would rather have my comment disliked than an argument started.

Could have it like the youtube thumbs up or thumbs down rather than facebook style like/dislike? Fairly sure on youtube it just says how many likes and dislikes have been hit and not who has? Shouldn't lead to any arguments then?
