The "Max Today" part of the rankings page displays the 50 highest breaks made on that day but only allows a single player to appear on the list once.

Is this the way it should be displayed or should the actual top 50 breaks be displayed even if some breaks are made by the same person?

Does anyone think this is how it should be or am I just being silly ?

Well theres 2 ways to look at that.

People who are not as good as virtuosos etc, may want there breaks to be shown as a sign of improving.

The other hand 1 person could make the full top 10 in one day, by going for 1 point above the current highest break.

I've always thought this, what's better than having the bragging rights to say I've had the top 5 highest breaks today! Or I'm had 11 of the top 50 breaks today, nothing better than something that will stimulate the ego! Great idea.

The current method stimulates the ego of more players at one time.

The top 50 breaks could just be 5 people under the new system. The top 50 at the moment is 50 people which maximises the "ego stimulations".

The only way around that would be to drop the "50" and just show all the breaks

But 144, 140, 137 (and any others not listed) are not your max break today - 147 is.

I think it should be: The top breaks achieved today.

Personally, can't see the point of creating a new table that achieves very little for the benefit of the egos of the very few, especially as the information is available elsewhere for those that are really bothered

It's not a case of creating a new table more changing the current one, Highest Breaks today would suit just fine.

Maybe I am missing something, but isn't changing "Max Today" to "The top breaks achieved today", which has both different meaning and functionality, creating a new table and discarding the old one?

Maybe have both tables ...... then everyones happy and their egos suitably massaged.

Would probably have to be a different table added as buddytobud mentioned but I like your thinking. Good idea

I reckon either swap it for the current max break table or have it as well as it. Either way is a winner in my opinion as it's a beautiful idea.
