i just played a game in carom vs a newbie, i thought well i might aswell play cause i wont lose much rank points, lost 4.0.

im not moaning but what benefit do the regular players get when playing new players(if there new players),it would take me about 6 games to get my points back off that specific player.

depends how far into newbie there are.

100 - id say you lose 1 point
75 - about 2-3
50 - 3-4 until eventually they lose newbie.

not frustrated just annoying when u dont know whether ure gunna lose heavy or hardly none at all.
if i knew i was gunna lose 4 points i wouldnt have played,cause i know hes a half decent player :L

newbies should only play newbies.

so what your saying is i can't play guests because they are newbies. you lose less points by playing a newbie so in thoery you are better off playing newbies, say you played a 700 newbie, you would probably lose 6-8 points (at 800-850 rank) where as a normal member you would lose about 12.

a ranked game with a newbie means losing a bundle of points if they fluke a win,thats one of the reasons i dont play ranked though im lumbered with playing newbies in killer,guests are friendlies.

you lose less to a newbie than a normal member, in orig a 750 (newbie is usually ok), havent really played real newbies in regular yet, arcade anyone can beat anyone although 700+ seems the decent amount, carom can vary but 700+ it looks like again, possibly the 720 mark.

id have a seperate torny for newbies if i were in charge.

If u were any good u wouldnt have to worry about them being newbies or not

Shouldnt make a difference if your opponent is a newbie or not, you should win, and if they win, its unlucky, learn not to play newbies or learn to win.
