I think there should be some more forum abilities. Here are a few examples:

- Delete own thread
- Delete own post (Helpful for double posting)
- Report post ability (Would prevent Unnecessary spamming, arguing, or even being a way of requesting a thread capping)
- Ability to search through the whole forum rather than having to search through a specific forum.
- More post editing features such as adding colour and also some more advanced BBcode options.
- Preview Post

A few suggestions for advanced BBcode options:

- Ability to alter the size of an image through the "img" tags.
- Changing the text that appears when creating a spoiler. (Rather than it just saying "Spoiler").
- Being able to create text which hyperlinks to a website using the "URL" tags.


Just a few things I would like to see implemented. The list goes on but you get the idea.

Delete own thread i dont agree unless it went straight to the admins

same with delete post as they could swear and get away with it.

report post i agree with however most mods check the forums anyway.

By hyperlink I meant being able to have a single word link to a website.
For example, If I click my username "jack_pot" it links to my profile. This can be done using URL tags so it wouldn't be to hard to implement.

With delete post, If they swore and deleted the post, then that would be the problem resolved, so it wouldn't really be "getting away with it".

- More characters allowed for posting.
- Some more fonts.

@Boyler, searching through the whole forum would be really helpful I think. Recently I was trying to find a certain thread but wasn't sure which section it was posted in, so I ended up looking through a number of pages on a number of sections just to find the thread I wanted. Having a whole forum search option would have found the thread I wanted straight away.

But this only works for profiles, I see what you mean by having an external link, like a link to the BBC (for example).
Instead of it coming up as www.bbc.co.uk .. It comes up as BBC website, and the words are a hyperlink to that website.

Think that would make it look a lot more professional

A way of preventing spam and low quality posts could be to have a minimum character requirement. Say a minimum of 10 words when posting.

There would probably need to be a limit though...

Also, with the Spoiler writing, surely that can just run on the same thing as the quote, where you put a = then the writing you want ?

Isn't that the same thing? The limit is fine as it is, however a few forum suggestions given are quite well thought through.

Nothing special but coloured font. Just jazz things up a little.

Another idea..

The ability to view threads that you have created.
And also view your recent posts. So for example, instead of searching through the forum to find this thread, I could just click "View my threads" and it would appear on the list.

Profile Page > forum posts

shows a list of every post you have made
