Just an idea, but would it be possible to add a 'only receive messages from friends' option?

What do others think?

if you mean in game if you select ignore pms, your friends and staff can pm you but others cannot,

if you mean profile messaging then im not sure but would be good.

An option that would only allow friends to pm you anytime is what i'm suggesting.

If he is on about the profile messaging, that would not be good if you were in a clan, as the opponent might want to offline message you about the game...

ignore pms is that option mate, it ignores everyone from pm ing you apart from your friends list and the staff.

but a friends list in 3 options would be good...

clan opponents
personal
clan teammates

I'm talking about solely when your in-game. hence the world 'online' in the title to hint towards when your in the game server.

Offline messages would be unaffected.

EDIT for Dgen -

1. The wording in the options is not clear then, as it suggests that you will be ignoring everyone.

2. By ticking that it automatically ticks the ignore pms while competing, but i want that unticked.

3. I pm'ed Lee, a friend and it said he doesn't accept whilst competing.

I want friends to still be able to open a pm whilst i'm playing a game.

Also, as clan's are unofficial on the game, it wouldn't be possible to add an option for clan teammates and opponents.

ok then, the wording should be corrected.

lets say

Ignore ALL pms (everyone)
Ignore pms (except friends and staff)
Ignore pm while competing (can tick/untick even if ignore pms is ticked)

shame about the clan thing.

Yea all for it if you can only get pm's by staff and your "friends".

And it aint really a shame about the clan thing as there is about 50 users in clans in a site which has 24,000 users so be a pointless move that.

Lets be honest, if you have a clan game against someone. You probably add them to you friends list until it's played anyway.

Unfortunately he must not have you as a friend if that came up.
Its all about who the person has as a friend.

Personally I would like to see an option to ignore all pms and a separate option to ignore all pms except friends (and staff unfortunately)
Not that anybody ever speaks to me so it wouldnt really affect me but I know popular people have said before who they would like to be able to stop all people talking to them at certain times and just enjoy a quiet game.
