I would like to see different tournaments introduced for different ranking levels, for example an under 800 ranking points tournament for all 3 versions of snooker. I would like to see this because every tournament i enter seems to have 1 or 2 people at least with a ridiculous amount of tournament wins and very high ranking. I would like to enter tournaments against people more my own level there could still be all-comers tournaments.anyone agree?

Has been mentioned numerous times. There are several reasons why it more than likely will never be introduced

1) people resetting/creating new accounts could have a low rank and be able to enter (when not a newbie after 30 games)
2) people lowering their rank just to win an easy tournament
3) people not being on a rank that accurately shows their ability

to name but 3. In an ideal situation it would be a great system allowing fairer tournaments but this is not an ideal situation as there is too many ways to abuse the system

Does the tourny schedule change - In the past few days Carom has only been at 5pm once a day. Does this change at all? For example on funkypool every tournie moves forward an hour each day thus each tournie appears at a different time each day......and why is Carom only once a day...and could the final be best of three - seems a shame to have a best of one final that can be over in 6 shots...!!

no mate, never changes except for BST and GMT, when clocks go back and forth.

1st to 10 carom final would be good possibly better than a 1st to 3 final.

yeah a 10 shot final would be a good idea but it might be harder to do on Nicks side with having to change the who structure of the game

So to keep it simple best of 3 would be a fair option

Yeah carom final (and semifinal) changes have been brought up. I suggested a race to 2 just like other tournaments. However, someone (don't remember who) correctly explained that carom is not played in frames, just a long race. This is how the 10 shot final came up. Best solution in my eyes, assuming it's implementable.

should be really, change 1st to 5 for 10 for semis and final and have it as an option for ranked and friendlies (of course 5 must be their as well for the new comers)

I suspect the low entries are because the tournie is at 5pm each day - obviously with many players from the UK this time of day will not attract many entries. Why not try an 8 or 9pm start time and see what happens to entires or rotate like pool does.....the pool rotation system works really well moving each tournie on an hour each day.....

I very much doubt it'd be easy to add this, and for a select few that play it as it is I don't think it's worth it. It's by far the least popular game on this site.

I prefer race to 2 rather than first to ten - one good run in the final and it is over really and there are quite a few people who regularly get runs of 5 or more (not me sadly although I will improve - 5 days of carom and it gets quite addictive lol)

we don't have hourly tournaments through the night though like pool so its different and it wouldn't be really much value.

Making semi and / or just final best of three would be very easy to implement

Anything can be implemented absolutly anything! all depends if you got the patients to make things better and try to work harder we always say it will be hard to do (as I did few posts ago) but when you look at people like Mark Gherard am sure things wernt easy for him and the Jagex team in making runescape etc into the site that it is, but you have to make things work and in doing so you never no what you can actually achive!

It's all about tearing up the book about what you can/should not do and doing it!

And Nick is doing a great job at what he's doing and with a little time who knows what will become of Funky!

I wasn not referring to that, Was referring to the changing game to first to 10 wouldn't be that easy considering everything that needs to be factored in.

And carom can never be best of 3 in a tournament as carom is played played as a best of set amount of frames, it's just 1 frame, first to so many points.

well i agree with this, you get fake 600 players who go and knock in a 107 against me, and its annoying me now, if it continues im quiting the site, its becoming a joke

Rank means nothing.

Your loosing you temper because somebody is a better player? Are you being serious!

A 107 is a good achivment weather you are ranked 600 or 900 whatever it's nice to get 1 whatever your rank!

If you loose all it means is they would of beat you if there rank showed 900, ok you loose a few more points just go and play more ranked games take it on the chin and knock a 107 yourself in!

Saying things like 'I will quit the site' shows your a really bad looser and it is only a game just enjoy it

It's an age old problem and I would guess virtually impossible to police effectively.

I think one just has to accept that it happens
