Actually, I've been thinking - please dont say did it hurt...

Its not the "width" of the pockets thats the problem here, they are wide enough - it is only the curve into the pocket - it is too severe, that of course is only "in my opinion" ( arpeggio)

It was "wonderful" perfect, magic , glorious before.

oooh, have lovely day ya'll

Just before I say nothing more...

Hi Nick, you wrote...

"I really don't want to have different style pockets for each type of table, but I also didn't want to make the game significantly more difficult to pocket. Hmmmm."

Purely because the tables are longer - wider - bigger - sometimes one size, one dynamic, one dimension may not fit all.

Bigger in anything, cars to wagons, little bridges to big bridges means adjustments have to be made to, in this case supports or suspension etc to accomodate the size.

By the same token, different sized tables wil have different requirements purely because the performance is different.

I know i've gone on a bit, alright a lot but I'm sure I'm not the only one, I might be the only one just saying more "what" maybe I've and maybe others have been thinking, Why? Cos I love the game - Simples!

Now you always have to cover your tracks on here I've noticed, so before someone says "Oi - if you love it that much why go on"....
You only have to look at the views for this thread to know that over 4000 views just on this topic might mean something is amiss. Maybe i'm saying what others think but don't want to say.

Sure, although he has made the same point over and over and over again. He wants the old pockets back. Got it.

Erm, no. All it means is that there are over 4000 views (5000+ at time of posting).

It is especially irrelevant to your argument when you consider that only about 7% of them views have resulted in someone posting (7.5% of which are you restating your opinion) and not all of them posts are in support of your view that there is something amiss.

It seems there are two sorts of posts on here...

There are those people that actually have views "on the game" -

Then there are those that just sit and wait to oppose the views of people with a point to make. Some even seem to have a hooby of it.

Up until this thread I have never made a post before, after this I think I'll not make a post again, no doubt to the joy of some of you.

But whatever my views have been, I have always tried to offer valid reasons as to why I feel that - and what "IMO" the solution might be.

Whatever I feel the solution "is" I now know there are those with alternative views - Good look to everyone both in the forum and in the game, all the best and happy posting, bye bye.

Dont know if this is the correct thread but anyway, the white spin ball really shouldnt have the shading on it since you are not looking down on it. If you were it really looking down on it then it doesnt make sense.

it still seems to me the white ball runs on further than it should either on unticked or ticked cue power.

There's been no changes to animation or cue power - this could be caused by additional programmes running on your machine.

You're correct the shading should be different but this would require an additional image and logic to be added to the game.

Would someone be able to summarize everything thats changed in the game now?

1). So the pockets were changed (being tighter) but are now are more or less the same again after changing them back?

2). What makes cushion shots harder? Or is it just original that this is harder on?

3). Were these changes brought it to make play more realistic or was it for any other reason?

4). Why are the balls so 'patchy'? Surely they were better before this change and actually looked shinier and not so worn.

5). The jaws on the arcade pockets anyway, are very lively. Perhaps too lively?

Having difficulty understanding this update. Genuinely curious for some answers.

1. Yes
2. Some say cushion shots are harder now, I personally think they're easier. Don't know.
3. The pocket change was not done on purpose. Nick made all the pockets uniform which inadvertently change the way it played.
4. I don't even remember what they looked like before. They look ok to me. Friend of mine who played for the first time recently really liked them. Different opinions.
5. Livelier than before maybe (I don't play enough arcade to judge). Maybe that's a good thing? Maybe not.

Again, the biggest aspect of the update was the ball animation. The inadvertent pocket change overshadowed it.

Yeah i dont think i would like them to go back now, despite my disapprovement to the changes at the time!5. Livelier than before maybe (I don't play enough arcade to judge). Still think that change to the animation isnt fully perfected yet. still needs to be looked at

Shot cursor.
Options/game/shot cursor-default,outline,use sistem cursor,ghost ball.
Is it possible to have a smaller version of the shot cursor?None of the above versions of the shot cursor are smaller than the cue ball itself.
Thank you.
