I'm new to Carom and would like to practice some things but the practice table doesn't give you that option. On other practice tables the balls are either in:
Game start position
In a line
Colours only etc etc
Therefore could carom practice be set:
Game start position - white
Game start position yellow
Lag start position
Option to lag either yellow or white first (so as to practice both sides of table using diagonals)
Any chance of replay shot option??
And during matchplay can your ball colour be alongside your name at top

calm, greatest is only having bit of fun
I have been requesting the colour choice in practice for months al and not much got said about it.
colours being on top, if you remember if your on left your white then its easy.
replay button is something which is needed on all tables (but id say carom the least)

Would love to see these all implemented, and as James has said, some of these have been raised before... Just IMO need to be put in

yeah i do, but rarely, im no good at it, my game is arcade

arcade? i thought you said you played snooker . 15 balls or nothing in my book. except carom of course. the less pockets the better .

I would agree with all of them except for the option to lag diagonally! Straight down the table guys...

think this has been said before but proper billiards is with pockets-therefore not as easy to swing the white around the table, more of a challenge and longer games.

yeah, but in english billiards you can pot, don't need 3 cushions... so many more ways to score. less challenge

I'm not so sure about that to be honest.
English billiards is played on a full sized (orig) table, requires not only good potting skills, but also excellent knowledge of spin, angles, and positional play.
The two are very different games, but I would struggle to say which is more / less challenging.

I would welcome that game type since it sounds entertaining, but not at the cost of carom.
I just figured with that potting a ball even on the orig table is not that difficult, since long pots are fairly easy here.
On a real table, I have no idea which would be more difficult, but the ability to pot I think would make billiards easier on funky than carom

The big difference between carom and English billiards, is that you can score in several different ways:
Pot the red (it is re-spotted)
Pot your opponent's ball (but, unlike the red, it does not come back up until you have finished your break).
In off the red
In off the opponent's ball
Cannon off both other balls.
Perhaps this will change your perception of how "easy" it could be on funky
Personally, I feel this would be a great addition to this site too.... but with Power only recently introduced, it may be a long time (if ever).

i would welcome both types on here but i would favour carom over billiards.
