what is this about????? I hadnt played my round 1 game because my opponent was never on the same time as me and now im kicked out of round 2 without even getting a chance to play my game???? whats the story there????

Kyle did state that any players that weren't online at the time of the deadline would have a default result (highhest ranked player being put through).

I think if you couldn't have been online at that time it would have been best to contact Kyle and say that you couldn't be there and your opponent hadn't contacted you.

Sorry g_echo_l, i thought u were offline at the time. I remember checking and it said u were browsing, but i didn't click. You can play your match against jaysoros :) I apologise sincerely for that! I was just DQing players who were offline.

So there are now 3 matches on and mosconi, i meant players offline at the time will receive a byte (highest ranked goes through and gets put out in round 2)

Pm me with the rules regarding DQ's if players aren't online just in case you aren't about :)

For players unaware about the "bye" rule, this is how this rule works:

1. If a player decide to withdraw from the tournament, their opponent will receive a walkover into the next round.
2. If a deadline is set, any players offline will be withdrawn/DQ from the tournament (if both players are online with the match still unplayed, highest ranked player will go through, but will not be withdrawn from the tournament)

Example 1: Player 1 (794.6) vs Player 2 (773.2)
Player 1 was offline by deadline time and Player 2 was online. Player 2 receives a bye into round 2

Example 2: Player 1 (794.6) vs Player 2 (773.2)
Both players are offline by deadline time and match remains unplayed, Player 2 is DQ and Player 1 receives a bye through to round 2, but will be withdrawn from round 2 automatically.

Example 3 : Player 1 (794.6) vs Player 2 (773.2)
Both players are online by deadline time and match remains unplayed, Player 2 is DQ and Player 1 receives a bye through to round 2 and will be eligible to play his/her next round match.

3. If a player has been offline for a few days and his/her opponent has been on regularly and the player who has been offline for a few days decides to come on by deadline time and the player who'd been on regularly goes offline, the player online at the deadline time will go through.

If any player knows they won't be online by deadline time, please consult either me or mosconi and we will do our best to pospone the match.
