Careful cue he has a 16% success rate.

On topic, cue leave it mate, everyone who knows you knows you were having a laugh. These two don't know your reputation for mock insulting humour.

Fire_breaker, if you don't want to be called names that's perfectly fair but:

A) use the search forum button
B) get your facts right as I'm sure that a free ball is not when you are snookered but when you are unable to hit both sides of the object ball. I could be wrong but the pros play to those rules .

Either way its impractical for an online site.

Even if somehow there could be a mod refereeing each game, it would still be impossible for them to judge marginal ones or for example check on multiple reds within the time limit for the shot. Trying to judge whether the white could clip the side of one of 5 reds in 20s just can't work .

You can't be suggesting all games are 90s lol??? The time it would really matter to people is in tournaments, and they won't make 90s tournies lol.

I can't cue, only on my phone.

I would just give up . Unless you are extremely clever and can write a program that can judge a free ball ruling...

Did you make the mistake of getting to 4 and missing? He waits for that then pounces like a lion...

albeit a neutered lion with 3 legs and one eye

At the risk of continuing on a thread topic that has, as stated, been discussed many times. The problem is not that a referee is required because a free ball can be identified deterministically. The main problem, however, is the programming required (and associated testing) which is far from trivial in order to make such an identification in an acceptable time frame for all possible scenarios.

Meaning it could but is so unlikely that it's not worth exerting the effort required in order to find out

What would be even harder to program is the follow on rule that you are not allowed, when on a free ball, to snooker the other player on all legitimate balls by snookering them behind the ball nominated as the target ball, but you can snooker them behind any others... without a nominating ball option that would be impossible...
