Higgins is now more mature so is definatly concentrating more when he puts his head down on the table and you can definatly see it in his preformance and I think he has not won his final tourny yet he has got alot to give and at the same time we still got alot to see from Hendy and Ronnie

Stephen Hendry purely on his number of acheivments and his overall dominace on the game. My favourite player is Ronnie. I think he could have been the best but he lost allot of tournaments he should have won(recent 1's that come to mind masters vs Mark selby). For what ever reason Ronnie has lost tournements due to depression, frustration or just being the sports "rebel". Another player i think is close to all time best is John Higgins. Of late he seems unstoppable and you have to wonder who can beat him on his day and how many more tournaments he will win. What makes it more unbelievable is he's doing all this in his later years in the sport.

I know the mind boggles on that 1 lol. I'd like to think he didn't take bribes and wasn't lying but deep down after watching the footage you've got to think he was guilty. Remembering Steve Davis's famous win over Higgins at the Crucible jus t made me wonder because shortly after that match the news broke bout the bribe scandal and made me remember Higgin's post match interview. He seemed calm and not bothered at all, and unsurprised by the defeat. John higgins will never be my favourite player but you cant deny the sport needs him and that he's one of the greatest to play the sport.

I think he actually played position on the black, then asked if there was a prize for a maximum, they said no, so he didn't want to pot the black to make a statement about how ridiculous that there was no prize for it.

agree Si... Ronnie has got no care in the world about it, but deep down he probably does, like he had a 147 in the world open.. he said he never wanted it... but why play for position on the black then

See I don't no what went on there he just acted innocent and thick and got away with it, a mate of mine got arrested and his solicitor told him to act think so when he went in evey question all he replied was 'I don't understand can you repeat that what do you mean' and he got away with it
So imagine with million of pounds and a awesome solictor what could you get away with

I still believe he was innocent, there was ALOT more footage to that video then everyone saw, the tabloid just released the 'worst' bits to sell a few extra papers but they actaully chopped it up and put certain answers with different questions....'doctored' it basically.

I'd like to think that was true. I really enjoy watching snooker and his talent is one of the reasons i enjoy it so much. When in future people ask the question, who is the greatest player ever, it'l be a shame if they disregard John Higgins purely on the doubt of whether he did throw matches especially if he was innocent.
