You know the car I showed you all last week that I had bought?

Guess who pulled out of the deal..... yes thats right

the garage

Rang me up and said they couldnt afford to sell it to me at that price. despite having had no issue signing the form and agreeing to sell it to me. An absolute joke! disgraceful behaviour from any sort of business! absolute disgrace really!

Mate, I had the proof of purchase form signed which had the overall figure, the amount already paid and the remaining sum all written on it.

That constituted a contract.

Davey, no it's been less than a year, don't think I'd last that long

Dec, unlucky mate I don't know what they're thinking of in this financial climate, a sale is a sale ! If you signed a contract can they pull out ?

I could, if i wanted to, argue my case ... take it legal... and eventually get the car. I am confident I would win.

They are not being honest. They claim they need more money to fix the module that controls the airbags. Its not broken. I know its not. Its something electronic that can never really be proven was fixed. I pay them the extra money or pull out of the deal. Thats what they want. I am going to pull out. I dont want the hassle of going legal and paying a fortune in soliciters fees. I dont like just rolling over though.

There is a heap of clauses in the sale of goods and supply of services act 1983 that would get solve my problem.
I said to them that i would take the car off them (which i am entitled to do under the above) with the defects on it and fix it myself and they refused.

They are lying. It is obvious because they cant keep a straight story. its constantly changing every time I pull them up on something. Its just not worth the hassle!

Hey Si, bad times
If you have an address for her send her a recorded delivery letter outlinning the issues you have that way it is dated and can be used as evidence of contact. Explain (politely) that if she does not respond within 10 days that you will have no option other than to seek a judgement against her in the CC.
That might just spur her on.

Good luck whatever you do

Good afternoon everyone

Unhappy times for some of you it seems..... but good advice from G though - always worth listening to.

We're basking in Spring sun here... I'm off work for 2 weeks, and am chilling... just wish it could be on the water too.... oh well.. can't have it all.

Good afternoon. How is everyone?

Did anyone hear about the fairground worker in China caught on CCTV driving two bumper cars down a busy street?
