why is carom on snooker when it is a Billiards game,

No it is not. If you did not know, carom is classed as its own class (such as snooker and p**l), so it cannot be classed as anything. Therefore since p**l has 6 types already, carom should be put on here.

Seems people who do not like and or play carom will do anything to get rid of it. Just leave it be and let us carom players get on with it in peace.
