This may have been mentioned before but i've found that with this game only being 15mins, it's very advantageous to have the first break as i've found (people may disagree with me here) that each frame last approx. 5mins a frame, so if you are leading after the first frame, you will be almost level after the second frame so it's in the bag for you as you have the break in the last frame.
Now i know the top players probably smash in quick centuries and maybe get 4 frames in the allotted time but i believe 5mins a frame is an average for the majority of players. I'm no slouch and i'm currently 22nd in the rankings and i find most of my matches have just 3 frames in them.
Obviously players can miss so you get a chance but i would say that most of the time the original breaker would win the match, but with my proposal of making the matches 20mins long, players would have 2 breaks a frame each (most of the time) and make it a little fairer and not such an advantage to have the break.
Discuss....

Well Mosconi makes a fair point as I just played him in the tournament, with score being level after 2 frames, and the third frame he broke wirh 2 mins to go and won... I would disagree that the game should be 20 minutes though, tournaments would last too long.. Maybe shorten it to 10 minutes instead

This is as fair an idea to solve the said issue. 15 minutes was chosen as as good starting point - not too long for online play, but long enough to accurately represent the real power snooker game.
Over time funky players have come to realise that which ever player is lucky enough to draw first wins. 20 minutes a game is most definitely the fairest way to play.
I vote: lets give it a shot.

It would be even less popular if it was for 20 mins. Be hard to commit yourself to a twenty minute game without getting bored and people leaving. Then if you play three games on it there goes an hour, which sounds very depressing!
Would you be able to get two "frames" in within ten minutes?

What about 20minute games for ranked and friendlys and 10minute games for tournaments?
Or do you think it should be 10minutes ALL the time?

I'm for 10 mins all the time. I prefer fast games and 0 mins for 1 game is just too much. I comparison for an arcade game you also only need about 5 mins for it to be finished but if you want to argue with killer then...
you're getting more points the longer it goes since there are more players in the game
But that's just my opinion. 10 mins are perfect

10 minutes? Agreed.
If you deduct the time difference from the real version, to an online version then I think it should be made shorter. We dont need to walk round the table, we can instant cue and we dont need to use chalk

Although the time limit we need to be capped at 15 seconds IMO, to stop deliberately wasting time so the opponent doesnt get to break etc.

one thing i have noticed is speed tournament in random which power is included is 10 seconds where it should be 20 like the rules.
could be good if you could select a time like other types but unfortunately power isn't like that.
yeah im up for 10 mins as well.

Not bothered either way but can't see a real need to change it from what it currently is to be honest.

Considering you've played only 6 games of Power Snooker, your answer doesn't surprise me

10 minutes with a 15 second clock is ok, although it will make the game very fluky. One little piece of luck and it's decided...

Yeah, just thought I'd give a view from one of the 'non-expert' masses
