Just a quick heads-up as there are sometimes complaints when new updates are fully implimented "without warning" - so no excuses at all this time!

Improvements to Random Shot - always a hot topic on the forums - upon time running out, a player will be given 60 seconds to take their own random shot thus eliminating the feeling of bias often expressed. If a shot is not taken before the 60 seconds run out, the oponent will then get 60 seconds to take a random shot. If either player is detected as having taken a deliberate shot, a foul will be given as per that games rules.

Micro Tournaments - given the huge success of Micro Tournaments we will be introducing continuosly running micro tournaments in all game types and removing all non-tournament games, thus eliminating any bad feeling about the difference in rank etc

Account Time Limitation - in line with the recent EU directive affect ALL computer games, players will automatically be logged out every 20 minutes for a 10 minute period so as to avoid RSI or eye strain from excessive gameplay.

nice, dont like the 3rd one though as i like playing for couple of hours then i have a 1-2 hour break before coming back online.

im sure some others is the same, so what happens in a tournament which is 25 mins long and use the full time limit, would be harsh to be automatically logged out.

What does happen if you're in a tourney??

basically say you put it on 20 seconds and time runs out, you get a further 60 seconds to basically re take your shot (taking random away) and then opponent takes a shot if you don't.

think it should be lowered for tournaments though as people could use this for time wasting

Tournaments are currently 19 minute time clocks arent they? just have one round then you get logged off and the next round continues when you log back in

The other option would be to abolish tournaments altogether and just have the site completely as a series of microtournaments

yeah maybe but that would take the competitiveness away but from a tournapoints point of view i have to agree with micro plus its continuous so not as if its like you wont enter one during the day.
