Bit of both lol lots of red obstacles that are difficult to avoid. Trying to combo as much as possible to make it quicker but it isn't easy lol

And thats all of Pliskin's Weapon Mode top scored . Only two Variety missions so that shouldn't be too difficult and then its on to the Alternative missions!

Was waiting impatiently for the HD collection to be released for about a year and bought it straight away on release date, played number 2 then just forgot about the others lol.
Just finished number 3 and all though it felt dated(so wish i had played it when it was released on ps2, would have been even more epic) have to say what a brilliant game it was. The boss fights were way to easy for my liking(except for The boss) and it would have been nice to learn more about the cobras history but other than that a perfect game game.
The best ending I've ever seen in a game!!!! So emotional. The end song as well just perfected the mood. Sat there during the credits just reflecting back on the game haha. Epic! lol. Still rate number 1 higher though but Snake Eater not far behind. Next up MGS4. Excited

Snake Eater was the least enjoyable for me. Not sure why, I just didn't really click with it unlike the others.
#1 is by far my favourite. At the time of it's release, I'd never seen a game like it. It was genius and even however many years on it's been, nobody has yet come close in my opinion to creating a game as complex, yet incredibly enjoyable as MGS. Then I'd say #2, mainly because that's what I played on most as a kid. MGS1 was the starter game that I played, completed and loved, but I was only about 7/8 when I played it, whereas I was a little older playing MGS2 so I could understand it more, and really appreciate what an incredible game it was. Then it'd be MGS4. The graphics were just outstanding, the whole film/game idea was immense. It was simply perfect down to every single tiny bit of detail throughout. It typified what MGS was all about. MGS3 to be honest, slightly disappointed me. Again, I'm not sure why, I just didn't enjoy it that much.

I was also a bit disappointed whilst playing MGS3. I went in under so much expectation and heard so much hype. The bosses lacked so much personality and depth compared to MGS1. In the 1st game when you beat them it was so emotional. They explain why they did the things they'd done because of a childhood blinded by war and grief and horror(Sniper Wolf and Pyscho Mantis mainly) and you actually felt sorry for them. When the bosses in MGS3 died they just said their names out loud lol :/, but the ending more than made up for it for me. And the fight with the boss and the surroundings was just beautiful. No gaming experience will ever be the same as playing MGS1 though. Never played a game like it before that. Groundbreaking. MGS and Uncharted are the best game series I've ever played. Can't make by mind up on best game of all time though. MGS1 or Uncharted 2 :S. Hmmmmmmmm

Have you played Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. They are technically the originals and although i do look forward to playing them i doubt they'll shine like MGS1,2 and 3 have.

nah i haven't, MSG1 will always be the best in my eyes, only poor thing is to see good ending you need a modded controller or Infinite Health in the torture room which sucks, luckily for me i still have my Xploder cheat disk it has Infinite Health, Oxygen, Ammo, Max Level Card (so you can enter torture chamber when you get on 1st floor for first time) etc but i use activate the Infinite Health Cheat in torture room for the good ending

I could never ever use cheats playing a game. Wouldn't feel right especially playing MGS. I never really struggled in the torture room. Just had to hold the controller a certain way and stock up on weetabix before for extra stamina haha. Obviously couldn't help killing her on the 1st play through though.

i couldn't though which is why i activated that cheat just for that part so i could see the ending i played the bad ending before that.
once torture room was done, i saved game turned off PS2 and deactivated the cheat to go back to normal
didn't want to cheat but that was only way i could see the good ending on PS2 (didn't see on Youtube until after as wouldve spoilt it)

Well that's all good then lol. I prefered the Otacon ending. Found it more emotional because they both lost someone they loved and a close bond was formed between them. It's all about that epic handshake in MGS2. Best friends forever.

Your gotta be joking the 2nd one is the worst by a country mile! You play as a blonde haired freak for 95% off the game and his story is so boring and they try to pretend snake is dead but when you see him pretending to be some lieutenant or whateevr it was it was so obvious it was him
The highlight of the game is when one of the soldiers pee's on raidens head

If you started playing when the MGS first came out then I'm sure you'd think differently. If you don't like Raiden then you don't like a huge chunk of what Metal Gear Solid is all about. He is a big part of the game.. Snake is better obviously, but the story line, missions and mechanics in MGS2 were just superb.. It was the start of all of the main little easter eggs that they hid throughout the game. Most of what MGS now has all started with MGS2.. To say it was the worst of them all makes no sense what so ever lol, whereas MGS3 was just pretty much a plank of wood used to build a bridge if you like. It didn't have anything special, it didn't draw me in like the others did, it just wasn't as exciting or interesting. I see it as a game made to just pad out the story line.

After taking a break from playing the 3rd i have just completed MGS4. One word, EPIC!. If you're a Metal Gear fan i'd say it's worth getting a ps3 just to play it. Won't give away any spoilers because i know there are few xbox owners on here who haven't had the chance to play it. It has confirmed to me that the Metal Gear series is the best game series ever which i think is a grand statement considering how great the Uncharted and Half Life series are. I would rate it behind the MGS1 though because to me that game can't and wont ever be beaten. Then MGS3 and then MGS2. Love them all though! Will start playing Peacewalker soon.
Really hope Hideo Kojima makes a MGS5. Could maybe do a remake of the 1st Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2-Solid Snake where you fight Big Boss and Grey Fox. Here's hoping.
