ive thought about this for a while now..i think original snooker get a raw deal here ,the times of the tourneys are very unsociable .
we have a tourney at 10 am,4pm,10.30pm and 3 am..every other tourney has a peak time slot except original snooker.i was wondering if we could have a original tourney at a peak time between 7 and 10pm

i try to play in all the original tourneys but i find it nearly impossible as i work night shift and sleep during the day the times of the tourneys dont suit me and i guess they are difficult for most of us due to the unsociable times of them

tbh i would probley pay the subcription if we could have a peak time original tourney

not that i play it but yes seems that orig gets over looked like carom...........get rid of some of the arcade tournys, theres way too many

i have asked sam for an orig marathon so ill point him to this thread when i see him next, would have to be early, say 7-9 pm then its not too late when it finishes.

This is an issue that has been raised a number of times. What it boils down to is the relative popularity of the game types with the most popular taking prime position and frequency (similar to prime time TV scheduling). No matter what timetable is put in place, it is not going to please everybody and the current one seems to be as reasonable as most others that have been used.

I agree, im never on in time for the tourneys, if im lucky i get home for the 4pm one

It isn't a case of 'sitting in the background', it is just the simple fact that Arcade is by far the most popular game on the site due to it's faster bash 'n' crash nature which seems to appeal more to people nowadays and original is (wrongly) perceived as a less fun game due to being slightly more difficult and tactical.

one of the reasons im never on now, 10:30 start is going to about midnight til the final and im normaly fast on by then, so i think this geezer is right on

ok well a simple solution is put it on half past the hour? obviously orig players are going to wait for that rather than play another arc tourny?
i think there should be atleast 3 of each game type a day to support time zones.

The idea of rotating the tournaments would at least guarantee peak time tournaments for each game type every other day or so, and it is something I am fully in favour of.

Maybe just change the 10:30 one to 7:30?

That way everybody wins

On another note, I don't see a problem with half hours tournys between 7/10pm Espicially on Weekends
