I keep playing people that do nothing but moan that theres no point them joining competions because its not fair on the lower ranks.

Personally I dont agree, however think that a plate competion could be a good system to keep the interest going for the less blessed players.

I would suggest that if it was implemented (which I doubt it will) that entry into the plate cometition should be optional.

can be flawed, say if you had 9 members

you would have 1 game and 7 BYES, whoever lost that game would win the plate.

Why?

The aim of the game would be to win the plate not lose.

The winner of that game would go into the quaters with the other 7 byes.

No cos you would be out if you lost in the plate?

Slatty he means if there were 9 people in the actual tournament, there would only be one round 1 game, so only one person in the plate.

not talking about the plate in my example, its actual tournament forming into a plate

No point... My plate collection is way better than anybody else's on this site, so I would win every time.

Ah I see, well I guess it would be more difficult then as it would have to be based on players who lost their first game rather than the first round.

Usually they are considered prelims rounds anyway, could just disclude the players that lose in the prelims?

And there is a point, its to make the site better for starters

noticed the edit, you don't know if they are starters though as you could easily reset then your a beginner, or make a new account.

tournaments for beginners has been talked about before but because of reset/new account and not knowing who is a beginner the idea wasn't liked very much

This would be good for that, cos reseters would get through the first round. Leaving the good players with tough draws and lesser talented players.

like this idea, trying to figure out how the draw would work out though.. i mean in a normal tournament you get a lot of bye's so how would the plate work out ?

Make it for players who lose their first match of the tournament. Maybe eliminate anyone who gets 2 successive byes in the normal tournament though to stop the start of the plate taking ages.
