1. i assume players playing as guests to do this don't count as its not on their results?
2. if i play derry and he wins, then i play him again and i win do i win it back?
3. does me booting the other person count as a win for me?

The point is that they don't know they're playing for the title.

you tell them after they won, then up to them if they want to risk losing it to same person.
