Basically, a player may not be subbed into the other game of the same game type. This rule was agreed to by everyone because otherwise it allows people to strategically match up opponents. You can make any other sub, just not that player into the same game type.
For this case, we'll see what slatty says. If he accepts it, then it stands, otherwise it has to be replayed.

5.2.1 Swaps
You may not use substitutions to gain a more favorable fixture. Swaps are not allowed except in case of a time zone/availability issue.
Both captains must agree to a swap.

It also does state I can't to gain a more favourable fixture. Fairly obvious I didn't do that really, just wanted a game played.

True damee, but if we start having to interpret whether you did it to try to gain an advantage, it could lead down a slippery slope.
The only sub you can't make is the guy into the other fixture of the same type. Everything else is allowed.
