If you're a big online gamer then get an Xbox, but if you're after a full entertainment system with only slightly worse online game play then get a PS3.

PS3 has a lot more to offer than the Xbox 360. Xbox 360 also ends up being around the same price as the PS3, as you need to pay to play online.

It also comes down to personal preference.They're both pretty good.

Well, the Xbox controller is a lot better to handle.

Playing the PS3 is a lot easier online as young boys are bought PS3's as its more famous with parents. I find that CoD on PS3 is pathetically easy. They cant shoot me when I stand still fgs..

So Xbox is a lot better due to it being more demanding ability wise!

ITs only £5.95 a month or £60 for a year on Xbox. But it errors constantly. Ive had about 7 months free...

That's completely a matter of opinion. I find the Xbox controller totally ridiculous. Why for example is there 1 analog stick in the correct place, and then another in a totally random place? The PS3 controller design is much more practical and easier to handle.

Also your point about young children playing PS3 is totally wrong. Most PS3 gamers still play it because they have moved up the ranks from the PS1. It's more expensive meaning parents tend to buy their kids the Xbox more than the PS3.
Basically, Xbox has more children playing it than the PS3 does.
(Also kids love the bright green colours on the Xbox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

COD has a lower frame rate per second on the PS3 than on the Xbox, which you don't notice until you try both. I found the Xbox far to easy, because it had a higher frame rate, meaning everything seemed a lot quicker and more fluid to me.

How are Microsoft better than Sony? They're both awful companies.

I just think older people buy an Xbox and younger people are bought PS3s. I saw a poll on the two with a bunch of comparisons.

I can only really use CoD and FIFA, as thats all I play... and The elevated analog stick is in the perfect postion.

The reason they made the controller the way it is, is because its designed to be more comfortable and all the studies prove its a lot better.

The only thing I see the PS£ better for is that its free to play online.

But then PS3 goes down... and gets hacked... and you have to wait 3 weeks... I have never had a problem with Xbox live.

When playing CoD Zombies, its difficult to boarder the doors, and turn around, reload and it tangles your fingers. On the Xbox controller its easy peasy. The button configuration is simple and I dont find myself crossing my fingers and tilting my controller.

Also the game play, On Xbox I average around 40 kills a game, on Ps3 I average around 60 and my deaths are doubled to around 40.

Also the back buttons of the PS3 are too flimsey and soft.

&, I always throw grenades instead of firing on the PS3, the fire/Grenade buttons should be switched.

Your comment about PS3 going down and getting hacked yeah and? you seem to forget Xbox got hacked and was down for over a month so was PS3, PS3 goes down due to maintenace usually thats the only thing that annoyed me about as maintenance could last up to 4 - 5 hours sometimes more. Totally worth it when you dont have to pay for it.

Controller wise, for being 6 foot 2 i have pritty small hands so PS3 suites me better but i can also play on the Xbox controller just a bit difficult to get used to at first, both controllers have there faults in my opinion but the sensitivity on PS3 knocks Xbox out of the park

PS3 has bluray discs, which are higher quality, don't scratch as easy, and hold more data.
PS3 has more exclusive games than the Xbox.

Sony got hacked yes, but any online company in the world can get hacked... In fact, getting hacked was a good thing, as it means they have secured their system even further. Microsoft could just as easily be hacked.

Old school gamers almost always prefer the PS3 to the Xbox. The Xbox seem to just copy what Playstation have already done.. Look at the Kinect, they just ripped that straight from the Eye Toy which was made donkeys years ago.

But the main reason why you should get PS3 and not Xbox, is METAL GEAR SOLID!!! By far the best game ever created for any console in the whole entire world, and it's exclusive to Playstation. Why? Because Playstation is better.

I have a PS3 and i have to admit...i couldnt be any happier with it. Some of the features on Xbox, such as the controller arent very good. Admittedly it took microsoft 2 attempts to make a console up to the standards of the PS3

or wait until COD or Fifa comes out they will do you a deal then probably

xbox all the way for me but wish they had a browsing system like PS3 where you can look over the net.

To get xbox live...

You turn on your Xbox... go to Xbox live... type in a credit card and pay £5.95.

You can then play online on the Xbox. Takes no more than 5 minutes.

Obviously you will need a game though...

I understand that the PS3 has more functions etc, but I dont use a PS3 for that.

Why would I need a 2nd bluray player? Why would I need to browse the internet on it? Why would I use it for anything other than playing games...

If a toaster had a little fridge compartment, everyone would still use the fridge to store items.

Its not like the PS3 has any exceptional differences, it isnt more mobile than an Xbox, it doesnt dance or sing, it has 85% of the pre teen gamers and the graphics are not different.

I have both consoles atached to the same 54" HD t.v and I notice no difference to when I'm using one to the other except...

I enjoy the Xbox a lot more and find the gaming better for CoD & FIFA.

My brother has games like, final fantasy, Blob, Portal, Kung Fu Panda, The Darkness.... and general crap like that for his PS3 and most of the games he has aren't on the Xbox... due to the reason that all of those games are aimed at little boys.

about 95% of my mates have only 2 games for the Xbox and 2 Games for the PS3...which is CoD and Fifa, with the exception of some of them prefer Pro evo to Fifa .

Sorry but I still have to disagree about the PS3 being for kids point.

All you have to do is look at videos on Youtube and you can clearly see that the majority of Xbox gamers online are aged 9-13.

Xbox is newer and it's cheaper so it makes sense for it to appeal to children a lot more than the PS3. I know loads of kids aged around 9-13, either from within the family, or on my street, and all have an Xbox 360. The only people I know with a PS3 are adults. And when you're playing online, you hardly ever come across kids raging on their mics unlike on the Xbox. (They're always adults raging).

I remember even when the PS2 came out... There was a divide. People who had previously played the PS1 stuck to the PS2, and those that hadn't played the PS1, started with the Xbox.

Fifa comes out on the 30th so not too long if you want to get a cheap deal

I got PS1, PS2 then changed to 360 because 360 was half the price of the PS3 at the time
