Anyway, I can't seem to copy & paste into the game window (or copy from the game or paste into the game, basically all ways). I'm on latest version of opera and asking if anyone has any solutions to this? I have a feeling it's to do with java.

It's Java, being a problem for a while now mate

They were ment to release a new update with a fix to this but it does not seem to have happened.

Also there are Patch's you can get but if you go down this route make sure you know what you are downloading as 90% of them would bea Virus

Also can't copy and paste a thread url to the game window or pm window.

its possible to downgrade to an older version by file hippo (i think 20 or below has copy and paste) but if you go down this road make sure to get rid of newer version first
