Graphics card drivers?

Java updated?

I've just upgraded my PC, I didn't think moving from a Dual Core Core2 duo processor to an i7 would make much odds to this game.... but somehow its much smoother now... awesomes.

That would make a huge different

i7 is the best processor you can buy (if you get a top end 1 anyways)

Where a Dual Core is getting on abit now, old technology and in comparison extremly slow compared to i7

But also Fragmented, did you build it yourself?#
Also what Graphics card do you have?

And also just check to see if all drivers are upto date

i7 might be the best, but the i5 isn't much worse. They're pretty equal in performance, and as the i5 tends to be cheaper, that's what I would recommend to anybody.

I have a dual core and experience no problems what so ever with any games at all. I think a lot of it is down to how much RAM you have. I had to upgrade to 4GB because 2GB was just not enough, however I wish I'd upgraded to 8GB because even 4 isn't doing an amazing job.

I'm on quad core and I never have any problems

But also I have 8GB of RAM was going to get more but I thought it's pointless, would be upgrading the PC then for no reason except becase 'I can'

But also generally looking after a PC keep it clean making sure fans are dust free help preformance, just making sure there is a decent suply of air getting around the PC

I agree, I specify computers for a living. My point is that im surprised it makes any difference to a java game...

I've got a GTX 580 1.5GB and my I have an i7 2600K overclocked to 4.7~ GHz (Did get it higher, but id rather it lasted me a while). and 8 GB of RAM. More than 8GB actually decreases memory performance on my board.

I really need to get a new computer on the go.
Off-topic, but slatty, do you buy parts online? If so can you link me to a site? I had a few bookmarked but had to wipe my computer the other week and lost them.

Jack I get all of my stuff of:

www.overclockers.co.uk

Based here in Stoke on Trent, but as far as I am aware they deliver Nationwide

They are a huge company now aswell and quality is always assured

I specify computers for a living. I have used overclockers and yes they are good. However if you want outstanding service along with the best prices www.scan.co.uk is the best place to go in the UK.

If your lucky enough to be able to get through distribution then thats a different matter
