Say if i did this post now. There be a green arrow up to like it or a red arrown down to dislike it.
For example:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2052934/Sven-Goran-Eriksson-sacked-Leicester.html
And anyone can like/dislike you don't have to be logged in etc, And it does not show who likes/dislikes.
Just think it be a cool addition, it would save people replying "lol" to a post they liked if you get me.
The only negetive i can think of, Is people will like there comments, clear there history and like there comment again, Like you can do on the daily fail site.
Also another negetive i can imagine there might be some really sensitive people on here might take it to heart if they see 4 people dislike there post.
Don't matter if it don't happen, Just most forums these days have them.

Been said many times before this, if you search the forum lists, you'll see responses to this.

Also Nick isn't a big fan of making changes, which is why I never bother giving suggestions anymore.
I would say 7% of threads get a response from an admin, 2% of suggestions are implemented, and the other threads slowly fizzle out.

Its a good idea i suppose, but like the dislike button on facebook, can be highly abused so i doubt it would be implemented.

Facebook does not have a dislike button, i don't think they could allow that think of all the bullying what could happen but that is a social networking site not a forum.

Hence why i said it would never be implemented, also refering to the dislike button on facebook, as that would never be put in place, because it could be abused to easily..

No because i disliked your post that would put it on -1, If 4 or 5 liked it; it would be on 3 or 4, Sorry for explaining this patronsingly.
It would take a real bad post to have a lot of dislikes.

and on youtube if many votes is negative it says
this post has been removed due to too many negative votes
then a spoiler showing what it said

I don't see how a like or dislike button would do any good at all to be honest.
If a post is pointless on a thread or offensive, a moderator/admin can always edit them/remove them.

It will also stop a lot of constructive criticism though in my opinion.

Exactly. People would just like posts instead of putting their own opinion on the matter/discussion.

Well if someone posted something similar to what i would say, It would save me quoting it and saying agree.
