A man hands himself into Worthing police today and has been arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty.

Basically this man tied a chain to the neck of a little dog (Beagle collie cross). He then attached the chain to his porsche and drove 6 miles with the dog attached to the back, before getting out and removing the dead dog... and then just drove away.

Can you imagine this? The dog might of tried running to start with to keep up with the car, his legs would then fail him and he would be getting dragged along, skin burning off. The noise!? screaming! Shrieking!

To imagine, when attaching the chain to his neck, the dog would most probably be there wagging its tail thinking its going for a walk... to then get dragged 6 miles.

Completely disgusting.

The really sad part, is that he most probably wont face any jail time. He will get fined and wont be allowed pets. Pathetic.

I dont usually make threads like this, but it happened in Brighton and I just want to remind people (especially school children), that there really are disgusting, sick minded people out in this world. So remember to be extra careful when walking home from school and when out alone.

Heres the full story from my local paper -

Wouldnt it be nice if someone found out who this person was and tied him to the back of their car? See how he likes it .

I am sure that a bloke was put in prison for killing a cat for 2 weeks a few week back.
I guess this bloke has one them problems which serial killers have were they get a thrill from killing things wether it's humans or a dog.

when i first looked at the title just now i thought dogs passed away so i will pay my respects but i never guessed it would be something so horrific as this.

im a dog lover myself, i have a staffie and once had a king charles. if my dog passed away, i don't know if i would cry because when i try to cry i can't but on the inside my heart is ready to burst with grief.

the person who did this should be locked up what makes me think is what if this guy didn't hand himself in then he wouldn't have been caught and would have done it to several other dogs which is wrong.

R.I.P dog and hope person who did this gets his just deserts

As a person who's got Horses and dogs

It's absolutly disgraceful on how people can be so sick and twisted, 6 Miles he was probably dead after the first. If you hate your dog so much why not just give it up? Would be better letting it run free across the streets that way you don't even have to put effort in to get rid just makes your blood boil

Scum!

I would say the dog would have died, I would not fancy my chances with a chain around my neck with a car going around 30+mph.

The man must have been barking mad.

The latest reports on the man who handed himself in -

He has claimed it was an accident. He was releasing the dog, and the chain accidently attached itself to the car, and he was driving home.

Pfft.

I dont think this guy is going to get any jail time.

He is looking at a £4,000 fine. How disgusting.

This is a thread about a dog, sure its a sad story, about a dog.

Yet people moan about the mere fact there there are RIP Threads about Steve Jobs and Amy Winehouse, because they created Apple products and didnt fight in the war, or made amazing music but also had addictions.

Eye Roll.

I think it is more of a thread regarding how sick some people are, rather than saying RIP to the dog.

Lol, that was a sly little dig about my Steve Job posts... which is actually quite disturbing of you becasue I was fighting the case for my dead grandad...

But yeah, Steve Jobs didnt get tied to the back of a car and driven for 6 miles and eventually to its death.

News update for this story as well -

"Police have released a statement saying that no further investigation will be carried out and that we have sufficent evidence that this incident was a tragic accident,, therefore the man will be released without charge."

Basically, he said he was driving home - the car wheel ran over the dog lead, which then got tangled with the frame of the car.

Which is all really odd as it wasnt a dog lead. It was a metal chain. A standard dog lead wouldnt be able to endure the force.

Also a big point, is how can they just take his word for it? Saying there is evidence proving his innocence?

A car was beeping at him for what they reckon a mile before he pulled over. He then unattached the chain from the car.

Now if it had of got tanlged, Im guessing it would be so easy to untangle a chain from the frame of a car.

It wasnt even his dog.

So yeah hes been cleared and is allowed to have pets still ha!

Justice < Righto.
