Dgen asked for my definition of tapping, following on from a difference in opinions between Jun and himself last night.
Given that I will in almost all cases attempt a pot, any shot that just rolls up to a another ball could be classed as a tap in my book.
When I first ran this reg challenge, the feeling was that if you cannot pot, play a proper safety: i.e. attempt to play a snooker, rather than roll up to another ball as a safety.
It is, of course all a question of interpretation. If one of you genuinely feels that no pot is on, then you are applying the strict letter of the rule about no tapping. However, an opponent may view this as being outside of the spirit of this event, and as going against the agreement not to tap ....
At the end of the day, it's just a game, and all I wanted to do was promote attacking snooker wherever possible, as I was fed up with people rolling up to the reds. As I didn't see the game though, I will refrain from passing judgement or making further comments.

just a general reminder.
you should only concede when you BOTH get to 200 points.
also if your next to a colour and roll up people could see it as tapping, if its about 2-3 balls distance then id say its a good snooker

you just need 200 with 2 cents or 4 halfs (if hughsy really struggles) but how quick you get to 200 will be important
