Im about to start playing this game for about 5th time, and ive being practicing it for a an hour or two.
Last time I played I found a great way to break in original snooker. Most of my breaking shots (70% of the time) I got the cue ball behind the green ball. In arcade I go for it and try to pot with an average success rate. In regular tho I never know what to do. I Usually end up making some lame safety shot, which rarely works out. Does anyone have any suggestion? I just woundnt want to push the cue ball in the rack. It takes ages for the frame to really get going.

I have a smash break that pots probably 50% of the time. Sadly it misses 50% of the time and against some players on here that will lose you the frame. I only know one person who has a break that can regularly get behind the baulk colours and he won't share it with anyone. Anyonee know thee playeer I meean?

I have a break that works for me 80% of the time but it depends on the power you put into the shot.
I place the white ball as close to the green as I can get, then with no spin I hit the bottom red very thin but not too thin with sufficiant power (takes time to get it right) and the white ball should roll up nicely behind the yellow ball that should cover you're opponent from potting and if hit right then it could stop a decent safety being played too.
Hope this works for you.

I do indeed have one, but haven't used it in ages so will take me time to find it again.
2 min to be exact. I've got one, full power. Not showing you it though. Too many people nicked my original break. This one is mine

i use it to original(mostly play on that)
cue ball placed as close the green as possible, and aiming the side red very thin, half power.
1,Begin the frame with a foul(hit the green)
2,Cue ball getting behind yellow/green/brown
3,Not giving snooker but the couple reds are out of the bunch not seen, usually blue covers them
4,Giving perfect chance to opp starting with an easy red
All depends the power and how thin u hit the side of the pack of reds.
So i dont have a good b.o.shot %.

There is one on original which 99% of times puts the white behind green. It's a simple break, no spin needed and full power.
The one I have for regular needs spin, but is also full power.

Yep, I invented something similar. Full top spin, full power and goes behind the yellow if done correctly.
Ive noticed that a lot of times having a good breaking shot, can backfire you and especially against fairly good players. Sure you can clean up the table from the start, if your hot or just really good. But most of the time I have to settle for a hard fought break of 25-50, depending on game. And when you miss, the table is wide open for a clearance. Its allways so much harder when 15 reds on the table, that sometimes I feel like giving the opponent first chance freely.
