Yesterday i played a couple of frames on the regular table again.
It felt it was my first session of the year...proabaly it also was.
Some things seemed different then last last year. Shadow of the cue visible, pockets were smaller? I missed some blacks to both corners and pinks to middle bags which went in in the past for 95%. Biggest difference was cue power. During the summer i bought a new PC and now i miss alot cue power. Smashing the pack is a big part of my style of playing and this is very difficlut now. Has it to do with settings of mouse sensitivity?
Checkbox of alternate cue power control is NOT ticked.
Please your input on these issues.

Shadow of cue only got added a few days ago, nice little addition if you ask me.

Generally it takes time to getting used to playing on a new PC, and it will seem different. It's just more about getting used to it all again, especially when you've been off for a few month, you miss a lot of stuff you never used to before.

The power, well, I presume then that's to do with your mouse settings if you can't hit it full power.

1. Shadow of cue, as damien said got added about a week ago, looks cool

2. pockets have been made tighter so pots are harder, particularly cushions (for me anyway)

3. cue power, yeah as damien said probably your mouse, i tend to struggle with soft shots with my mouse.

what you can do is

Control Panel
Mouse
Mouse Pointers
then change the lever as required to one what suits you

Correct....played several frames now...and they are so bad that it is almost annoying to be back....as you both say..it will need some time probably...
Soft shots are really a problem.
My mouse is so sensitive now...that the cursor flies in and out of the screen hahaha...still the cue power problem remains.
Also rather weird....i dont experience a difference in using alternate cue power or not. In the past when i had this option ticked....the cue ball was hardly moving using full power....
Maybe a sign for me to hang the cue for another year

The shadow of the cue is really annoying?

Completely puts me off. When playing my shot, because of the angle on the shadow, it makes me alter my line of shot as the whole thing is wonky.

Can't see any positive points for it? Its needless and irritating at best.

Yeah we havn't managed to get rid of him yet... .

It's true though, my cue power is very iffy now. When I play my lag shot in carom it feels like it's sticking as it gets to the ball.

Regarding the cue changes, I think what Nick focused on most there was adding Anti-Aliasing. I imagine that the shadow was an additional after thought, however I personally think it looks nice and isn't off putting at all.

I haven't even noticed any difference, so that just shows how off putting it actually is lol!

same i didnt notice the shadow either till someone asked me one day when was the shadow was introduced lol
hasnt made any difference in my play either

Amazing how few people have noticed the shadow. Only seen one user not like it (as it put them off :S)

This was a while ago now. damee is right, they're now all the same type of pocket, which in practice made several of them tighter.

all changes are for the better in my eyes...

they all benifit the player rather than the smasher
and derry ur meant to play with the front end of the cue bud... no shadow there m8 lol
