Oh right ok. Yeah, similar concept. I'm guessing they'd make the bans the same length that they're currently making a boot. The players that get booted are usually clowns that don't ever post.

so if someone in chat says a word out of place* not meaning to be abusive* they should be banned? bit harsh if you ask me, hardly crime of the century is it? they get booted for whatever length of time that mod sees fit to give the offender time to reflect on thier *mistake*, between 8 minutes and 8 hours i think, save the bannings for the members that actually do set out to abuse. i see nothing wrong with the system as it is now, obviously we dont know what goes on behind the scenes because they cant discuss it with members but i believe mods and admin do a great job, always been helpful when i had a problem anyway,

the boot option works imo so it should be kept

By banning, jack just means that it's a short-term ban (not forever). The only difference to booting would be that the booted/banned member would not get access to the forums as well (instead of only getting kicked out of the game). Once the ban/boot time is up, access is restored.

well usually the clowns that get booted and banned dont tend to use the forums anyway. unless your on the pool forums its a clown convention on there lol

Lets put it this way.. If Funkysnooker had never ever had a booting system, and only used bans, and I said to you, why don't we have a booting system as well as a banning system, you'd probably think, why on earth would that be needed at all?

We believe in giving people fair chances, therefore it may not take one single offence to be banned but a collective amount of something a little less severe, however this is not always the case

Racist language is not tolerated at all on the site and will be dealt with ASAP.

If anyone has complained about an player and wanted to know why they wasn't banned, then please message the admin team (via contact us) and we'll try our best to explain how we dealt with the situation.

I'm sorry to disagree Kev, but I know from personal experience, one unsubstantiated allegation can cause untold amounts of upset.

Also one allegation from one member of staff (current or not) can make a world of difference !
