Hi! i played on another pool site and you got like a title for making a plant etc on there, is that possible to implement here? other ideas are Take a Shot, Make a Century, Win a Tournament etc.
also i saw a thread where players would attempt to pot a colour when snookered like on World Snooker Championship on PS2, it would show you how to perform the shot then you could try yourself.
Other Ideas include (which i believe threads have been made for) -
- Ignore ALL Pms (even from friends)
- Colour coded names
- more power or more spin (like the real game where you can spin from one end of table to other with ease)
- Watch Game at any point (any progress on this nick?)
- Replay a shot in practice so you don't need to try and roll balls back in position
- Move Balls in Practice (even in pocket if you dont need them)
- Free Ball (is this possible to code?)

The thing with "more power & more spin" is that the power and spin is fine, but the resistance of the cloth is too high. The balls decelerate too quickly. If you watch the real life ones, they roll at pretty much a constant speed for a long time whereas on here they slow down very quickly. So the resistance of the cloth needs reducing for this to be realistic. i would love to see this change though!

yeh why dont we ask for 2 extra pockets aswell, make the game even more easier. hek i might even get a 147 lol

couple new ideas to go with the above -
- Preview Post (so you can check for spellings)
- If your typing a post and someone posted while your typing it would come up with what it said and a confirmation message if you want to post.
- If you can hit a object ball full on and you miss 3 times the frame is over (you get warned after 2nd time), not sure if its in already but posted anyway

Can't see the harm there

Pointless, no need for it

Of course it's possible to code, everything is within reason! But then nick would need to think how to sort out the high break tables, and I personally would just add another table saying highest break with free ball.

Pointless, no need for itI think dgen is talking about the suggestion that the people on your friends list would appear in green in the game window. More importantly, the people on your ignore list would appear in red (so that you know that you don't want to play them).
I would find this very useful.

I still disagree to the colours, but possibly an asterisk to distinguish between users you have on ignore or not.

Urm I dont care about your views on this or even entirely sure if Im right in posting my idea... but...
How about a game type where all you can do is smash the ball at the hardest pace, so every shot is a complete spank of the ball. That would be quite enjoyable and a good release of tention before you then play the normal version.
I remember there use to be "10 SECOND SMASH GAMES"... or something like that.. so it would be like that...
Maybe even adjust the speed to increase the power JUST for this gametype.

How about a game type where all you can do is smash the ball at the hardest pace, so every shot is a complete spank of the ball. That would be quite enjoyable and a good release of tention before you then play the normal version.

Preview and edit are in my opinion totally different features.
1. If I make a post and then edit it, to re-word it - during that time someone could have replied to it - but I have changed it making their answer seem out of place.
2. Many posts are put up on threads with not enough thought and people wish they either hadn't said it at all or said it differently.
Preview post would be very useful in both these examples 1. you re-read your post and make sure it says what you want
2. It makes you re-read your post and think do I really want to say this or is that what I really mean ?
Edit, however is just for going back and correcting typos or general tiding up of a post.

another idea previously mentioned:
when a pm opens when someone first writes to you, put it in a minimised window.
this would stop excuses of pms putting you off, plus it would help the moderators who then can unminimise when they miss.
an alert would notify them or a message in game.
group messaging is another where you can write several names at once instead of doing 10 minutes of copy and pasting (helps with clan games).
