Please could someone confirm exactly what "Ignore User" does and doesn't do.

I use it quite often whenever I'm playing somebody who annoys me by being rude/offensive/blows their top at a fluke etc. but not really sure what it does!

Does it mean that if they have set up a table that I won't see it if I look at available tables? Does it mean that if I set up a table and am waiting for someone to join me that they won't see it?

Or does it just affect the chat window?

You will still be able to see their games and vice versa.
They can't send you a message or use the in-game chatbox to contact you. You also won't see what they type in the chat below the table.

Everything else remains the same.

OK thanks, that maybe explains why I don't seem to get any abuse from people who I've already ignored!

Maybe they are hurling all sorts at me and I'm just not seeing it!

Just out of curiosity;

If as a player you click 'ignore' during a match, can anything you type in the bar after you've done this be read by your opponent? Essentially, does it disable both players from seeing each others subsequent dialogue if one player presses 'ignore'..?

it only disables what they write to you, for example a few months ago m_wood had me on ignore (this isn't naming and shaming but an example only), and i didn't so anything i wrote to him he couldn't see but anything he wrote to me i could.
