Ive been here for many years, since 07 i think, but this has only recently started.. ive been in many games where moderators have single handly made a player look foolish by insulting them and winding them up.. you may think its a joke sometimes.. but sometimes there not.. and whenever you give on back... YOU GET BOOTED LOL?

the way some of them talk to you, is beyond me.. its like they use the fact they are a mod, to there advantage and get one other you.. i think there is only about 4 that dont do this, im not going to name and shame.. but i asked a question.. and they sarcastically answered with caps on ?

I was a moderator on a car forum for ten years and it's a thankless job.

Having said that if you feel a moderator has conducted himself in an unreasonable manner you should go over their head and make a formal complaint through the proper channels.

You should receive a response within a week if the site is run professionally.

In this case the correct channel is not contact us, but to use send complaint. There are 2 reasons for this:

1. Using contact us and saying "he said this" doesn't constitute proof as if it did it would open things up for troublemakers who didn't like certain people.

2. Send complaint sends the log from the room you are in, so admin can see if what was said was in response to something you have done. Thus if you have been trying to provoke a mod into a response it may well be you who gets the warning.

What if its in offline message mate ?

Top right of the screen with the message is a button that says 'report'. I've never used it but I would guess that sends the offline message log in.

Not that it would make much difference though.
Admins aren't great when it comes to replying to members about anything regarding the way the site is run.

They are on pool, usually the most active of admins are on pool most of the time and you receive a response back usually quite quickly.

Then again this thread is useless as i don't think much would be done to a moderator anyway. You will get the odd one that is an idiot usually but can you blame them? they get abused more than any player does on here most of the time so they way they treat people sometimes can be harsh but they mostly deserve it after all.

To many people are getting away with abusing people on both sites really, it is about time the moderators and admins started looking at the real causes of these events. Typically the ones that are rather brainy and think about what they post even though they mean it in a bad way. There is a handful of people that got banned on pool due to the same idiots that cause most of the riff raff in the first place. Soon snooker will go down the same road

There is nothing here to explain.

The rules apply equally to everyone, no exceptions. Mods and admin have been banned before and no doubt at some time it will happen again.

If ANYONE is breaking the rules or behaving innapropriately, send a complaint. Chatlogs are permanent and can't be hidden, and all are followed up.

Making threads like these are indeed pointless as no action can be taken without proof, for obvious reasons.
