I just had a bit of a thought, maybe, nick could make a game of killer for the regular table aswell!! Im sure that alot of people would appreciate it. Plus, there's a slight difficulty added to it, being on the reg table and not the arcade table where the pockets are like craters ... Oh and with this idea, i propose using all 15 reds and have a maximum amount of 20 players able to join... No doubt dgeneratio will come and say that "the server cannot take that type of game"...
But, it is just an idea and i think that if we get enough interest nick might implement it, as he has done with the carom practice .

nah server could handle more types, i just prefer something for the original table to level it out a bit.
Arcade > Killer
Regular > Power
Original > ???
Carom > Practice Competition
i was thinking more Snooker Plus or that Blue Shootout they hosted on TV

Would love a new killer game on either the reg or orig table. I think allot of people would play it and it also might get more people interested in the bigger tables as well when they realize they can actually pot on there lol. Maybe the number of lives could be increased to 5 as the pots are harder.

Some form of snooker variant of straight pool would be nice. Like playing that on pool occasionally.

I was thinking the same yesterday...but it sort of is already like that.. O.o

I mentioned a straight variant on here a while back. 10 reds in a triangle and set up like a normal snooker table. When you pot the colour after the second to last red, leaving yourself 1 red left on table, the other 9 rack up (like a diamond possibly?) and you can carry on your break until you miss!
Snooker plus would also be good to see.
Oh and all this is on the orig table anyway.

I love all these comments that Damee and other people make about the Orig table... but then write off carom games because carom isnt so popular.
Well either is Original? I have been a member for 5/6 odd years and have played like 200 frames of Original, ever.
I would hate to see a great idea such as a mode of 'straight pool' or snooker plus made on a table that the minority like.
Whether we like it or not, the main selling point of this site is Arcade snooker. So what if its easy to win, makes it all the more enjoyable.
I find Original players to be far too dull. Far too safe, much less fun.
I dont play anything really other than Carom which I hardly play anymore either. So as a neutral if an idea such as the ones being mentioned where to be created it wouldnt/shouldnt be made on an isolated table such as Carom or Original.
Power snooker works just fine on a Reg table and only isnt so popular because it requires 15 minutes per frame.
By making one of the above ideas on the original table you are then setting at least 10 minutes to 1 frame and probably 15 minutes average. I can only see less people playing the new game on an original table for the first few days, until the novelty wears off.
However the Reg or Arcade table would be a long lasting success.
Just my opinion anyway.

yep but we don't want to cramp them with just arcade and regular, arcade is popular enough as it is, take tournapoints you NEED to play arcade as its the most popular type and being an Original Player thats something ive had to adjust to.
Arcade has killer
Regular has power
carom has practice competition (even though the "minority" doesn't like it)
so why not Original?
never thought i would say this but i actually prefer pool over snooker, purely because the tables are the same size except Arcade and the tournapoints system means you can play your favourite game mode while winning a medal.
in my opinion we should bring more games to the bigger tables so then the more difficult types can be a bit more popular instead of "easy" arcade.

2 other valid points also.
have you played me, seb, baff, susp, harold, sarahh etc we all smash from the break mostly in friendly games of Reg or Orig depending on what type they play.
im the one who personified smash breaking on Original (usually works around 60%).
and 2nd point, aren't we looking to make this site as close to the real game as possible? you won't achieve this by more games on a table thats the size of golf balls but for me snooker is about a challenge don't care if i win or lose long as i have fun.

I hear what you are saying - But when you take a fantastic, exciting idea such as snooker plus or a straight version on snooker, I think they are 'too good an idea' to put on the original table.
I just think these games would be better suited for the popularity. After all Nick is running a business and in business you have to be strict. I dont think it would benefit the site as a whole to exclusively register such a good idea to the "hardest" or less popular tables.
Making the game real ---- This loses me. When I refer to making the game as real as possible, I mean with side spin, back spin, Power bar, cushion bounce. I dont think the original table would make the game more realistic? It just makes the game longer and harder. You cant say arcade is unrealistic because its easier. Its designed to be that way. Its called arcade after all.
I use to play this site way too much and could have easily practiced Original and become great at it, I just dont enjoy the lenghtlyness of the frames. Just like Power and Regular.
I'm pretty sure I speak for a lot of people when I say I dont have the patience to endure such time consuming measures.
The idea of this site like all other fun gaming sites, is for quick and easy fun. I dont think many people get that from Original. I bet you the DNF rate of original is higher than carom and all other types excluding maybe Power.
Original may need something - But if you want realistic, its basically got everything it needs.

heres what i would do, put Straight on the Regular Table as thats inbetween Arcade and Original and put Snooker Plus on the Original Table as for me Regular would almost be like the Power on Arcade argument what came up so Snooker Plus would be best on Orig Table.
I get you as well by the way i just prefer longer frames (unless i play 5 second games) and i prefer to play on a table where its harder to pot and i like the tactical side of snooker, something i don't feel comfortable with on Arcade. but each person will always have likes and dislikes for game modes thats nature.
i can live with more games on the Regular Table if the game mode size fits that purpose
