Ah, I see. I don't see much of a problem there though to be honest. You'd then say to Dgen "how am I an idiot" or something along those lines, and he'd clear up that he was actually talking to me. It would be rare for that situation to arise, and if it ever did, it would be quite easy for the members to resolve it among themselves.

Yeah I know, I'm just trying to iron out every possibly issue so nick has no excuses for not bringing it in . Although as we don't even have group send for offline messages, I think that is the logical precursor to group chat and would need to be brought in first.

New idea... Rather than just typing so it's;

adam: hi
jack: hi
dgen: hi

You'd type in reply to a certain member by clicking on them before typing, so lets say you said hi as above, I'd click your name to reply to you, type in hi, and it would show up like so:

adam: hi
jack: hi
dgen: hi

Replies could be coloured differently also. That might confuse things even more though. I think just using common sense would be the best solution for the ignore situation.

I think personally the reason many ideas get nowhere is that people don't think their ideas through. Take this thread, jack and I have put a lot more thought into the way the idea would actually work than the thread creator. There's a thing for 'hey I've got a great idea.... how would it work in practice? No idea, nick can sort that'. If you put more thought in, I think your idea is more likely to be taken seriously .

True. but some people aint good at stuff like that. so put the idea out there for others to work with.. like u and jack_pot are now

This thread is for suggestions, I made a suggestion, I wasn't sure how it would work in practice, still made a valid suggestion. And that's what this forum is for, so in my eyes did nothing for criticism. tbh I think that having an idea and sharing it for more thought to come through is better than deciding I cant figure out everything there is to it, and how would the japanese react? I just dont know so I put the idea out there for you guys to put your ideas on the matter across :)

but anyway, I think that the chat system should be updated, e.g I like that idea of having the players names on the left of the box, so that there could only be one extra chat box up.

If you take some time over your idea, you will spot these things . It's like going on the tv show 'dragons den' and asking for 500k for a product you havnt built and might not even work .
