We must have all had the situation where, for whatever reason, the other guys connection is interrupted and you get the message that whoever 'is not responding'

So you wait and they either come back or get disconnected.

What would happen to the ranking points if, during the 'waiting', I were to leave.

If you leave then you lose.

depends whose shot it is, if it is their shot, and you leave then they leave, the game gets cancelled, but if you leave on your shot then you lose

If they've lost connection it will be their shot

not really, if you lose connection on your shot you lose automatically and game ends, if you lose connection on their shot it lets them carry on with break where if they left before break ended the game is cancelled but if they clear or miss the disconnected player loses the frame.

In the scenario, if you're waiting on the other person to get disconnected, you have to wait until he is out. As soon as you leave the table, the win is declared for the other person, even if they are not responding.

If they are not responding and you wait the 90 seconds (not necessarily 90seconds on your screen, depending on lag and servers etc) and they are booted for not responding, if its your shot and you leave its a cancelled game.

If its their shot, id imagine they win regardless.

i have seen this a few times. when i guy is not responding (logging out or being logged out) and i have just quit the game b4 him and looked on my results page to see who got the win, on both occasions the game was not recorded on my results and i didnt lose or gain points which i thought was abit strange

yep i know but just never understand why, as i left the room 1st both times i expected to lose lol. i get impatient and would rather leave the game than sit and watch a guy respond and not respond over and over.

i played a guy once b4 and 1 game of arcade lasted 1 hour 10 mins isshh. cos his net kept goin on and off. he later pmd me laughing and said he was turning it off and then back on just in time to not be logged out lol.
