Orig frames were were really scrappy, he took the first one after I made a half, he made a nice tight cut brown to win it with the scores very close. he was in in the 2nd one but missed a brown off its spot to win the frame and I cleared up.

Reg first frame he snookered me off break, I put it safe, we tapped for a bit until I left him a tough long red which he made and got to 80 ish from, then missed splitting two reds to put the cent on. He went for broke on it, doubled the red and moved the black out of the way too and made the cent from it. By the time he stylishly fluked the blue he already had the cent. 2nd frame he got in first courtesy of an almost identical long red, then missed a brown off its spot again. I got to 52 I think, was in for the frame then lagged on the blue so badly the white only just reached the ball (I was going for a hard shot) and he had a simple clearance to win it.

Arc I needed to win both, 1 with a half and 1 with a cent to win so went for the smash and missed, he hit a half from it. He missed his smash break, game was over so I went for a black to try for the 107 which was stupid as I knew it would knock a red in. It did knock the red in and James made another half from it.

Other than James' cent, they were all pretty scrappy and I always lose scrappy. deserved win though on the day, I made far too many mistakes to deserve even the 2 points I got.

I also deserve -5 for spending all day wondering why my game has been running really jerkily, only to notice after I finished with James that my computer was apparently looking for a java update or something like that... #AdamTool. .

Ranking System: You must play at least 1 frame to be featured on the ranking system. If you did a tombo and got to last 16 without playing then you wouldn't be in the rankings.

Bonus Points: This will feature from Last 16 next season to try and keep away from generator.

been trying to think of bonus before 16 for same reason as above but best i could come up with is 1 point per century. any ideas or should i only include bonus from the 16?

Why not the same bonus points as in the quarterfinals and later?

could do, its a tricky one as i really like the closeness without bonus but that would mean many players would be the same on the ranking list which is not what i want. I also like bonus system as not really needed with the generator.

maybe i need a ranking system like world tour but points like...

1st - 1000
2nd - 800
3-4 - 600
5-8 - 400
9-16 - 200
17-32 - 100
33-64 - 50
65-128 - 25

a DQ in Round One would mean 0 points other rounds could be halved.

To be honest he didn't get stuck in too well and landed a bit unlucky now and then, I took advantage with this in arcade and regular. In original we both didn't get going but it was already over by then.

tomorrow ill calculate an overall ranking based on points above. My only two questions now is...

- Do you want bonus for all rounds or just after last 16? (match only)
- Do you want a highest break bonus for ranking and if so how much?

seems a bit too much work for xbox so will leave the idea until my computer is fixed unless i can do a spreadsheet where it sorts automatically then i could do it after each round.
